In my experience, this product lacks consistency! The UV light works fine, but the magnetic detector part was very inconsistent. For instance, I tried it 9n a 50 dollar bill. It took 5, maybe 6 tries before it worked. I thought maybe that initially I was holding it incorrectly. 5 minutes later I tried it again and it failed to work. Then it worked 2 other times and after that I could not get it to work. Same position, same place, everything was the same. I have been shopping on Amazon for a long time and happy with most of my purchases. Not this one.

UV works well which was my biggest want. Wish the magnetic part worked as well.
