Ordered several bags of Vermont compost to use for growing potatoes in denim grow bags (most which were ordered on Amazon over the last few years). I used a different growing medium last year and got fairly good results; about 5 - 7lbs lbs of potatoes per bag. While shopping for compost to use this year and reading ingredients from different compabies, decided on Vermont. I put clean straw at the bottom of the bag, add a potato (whole or cut), then cover it with 4 or 5" of the compost and water every 5 days - a week. Been about 10 days since planting and the vines are up and healthy. I'll add some more straw and compost as the vines grow (like hilling when grown in soil). Hoping for 10 lbs,per bag. 10lbs X 21 bags =210lbs. It's not inexpensive, but nothing high quality is. I highly recommend Vermont Compost. A+++++

The bag was smaller than I thought it would be. I used this as one of several composts to mix together for my raised garden bed. The product itself seemed to be good quality.

I live in North Carolina where there is alot of clay.I grew up in East Montpelier in Vermont and Daddy grew the most beautiful garden!!! I was so excited to find Vermont soil online. Vermont Compost Company just happens to on Upper Main which actually turn into County Rd where I grew up.

There are metal bits throughout the soil. Almost looks like tin foil. And I found a couple of garden markers, wooden as well. Wondering what other ingredients are in this product. Waiting to hear from the company
