Quick Little Ice Maker
Works quickly! Doesn’t produce a lot a at one time, but makes a batch about every 10 minutes or so. Do not compare it to a commercial ice machine. If you’re wanting a large quantity for a party, this will not work well. If you want a small amount throughout the day for family use, it’s perfect. Whenever I make myself a drink I put some in my glass, and the rest in an ice bucket we keep in the freezer. If you just occasionally dump the ice in the ice bucket when you don’t need it right away, you can stockpile a decent amount for using a bunch at one time if you want to. Super easy to use, worth the price.

Pleasantly Surprised
The ice maker in my fridge died, and we were buying bags of ice every week, so I figured instead of paying 3-5 dollars every week let’s buy an ice maker instead. At first I was a little worried about the size of the machine, and didn’t know if it would make enough, boy was I wrong! I only run the machine when we need ice. (I refill the thing in tue freezer the dispenses ice out the front of the fridge) The ice maker is a good size, doesn’t take up too much space, it’s good quality and durable. There’s no assembly or anything, pop the handle on and put it on your counter. It makes ice quickly, it’s bullet ice but the ice is still soft enough to chew (for all my ice eaters lol). There’s also a little stopper on the bottom to empty water and nothing leaks. It was worth every penny

Nice item if you can get it for the right price.
I ordered this as a "Like new" item with Amazon resale for a substantial discount. My expectations were that it's condition and functionality would be reasonably close to how it was described. I don't demand perfection from these types of orders because I know it's a bit of a tradeoff. I figured I would consider myself lucky and satisfied if the item was fully functional and didn't have any really bad cosmetic damage. So the only thing I really noticed is that the ice scoop that's supposed to come with these was missing. But oh well. It's a plastic scoop. It will be easy to find a scoop somewhere for a cheap price. Alas, it works. Doesn't seem any worse for the wear. I wanted an ice maker and did not want to pay a lot. These units all seem to be made in the same factories with nearly identical parts. I saw many reports of similar ice makers breaking within a year or two and I'm not paying $90 for an item that lasts a year. It might surprise me and last longer. It might not. I'm happy to have found a good deal on it here on Amazon. It's a $90 item that I got for $40. I will consider that to be a more agreeable price if it only lasts a year or two.

Handy little machine, medium noise, plenty of ice
This was exactly what I needed during the summer for bonus ice or ice using filtered water, which my fridge doesn't have in my apt (our water is clean, I'm just picky). It's neither loud nor quiet. A little less noisy than a dishwasher running. It makes ice quickly. Note: the ice piles up towards the back of the basket as it gets full. You need to break it up/ push it forward to get the last of the basket full. This is not refrigerated. Nor is it advertised to be. The ice will and does melt. I would break it up and put it into a container in the freezer if I wanted additional ice for later. It's also wet ice, so i learned to give it about 5min in the freezer and then shake the container it it would freeze into a "block." Ice had no issues with this unit and I make sure to run a cleaning cycle once a week if heavily used or before I use it again after disuse.

When we received this and saw how small it was we worried it wouldn't perform like we hoped. Happy to say it's Better than we expected!!!!! Love the size and shape of the ice and it out performs our frig ice maker !!! Highly recommend this one !!!!!

I'm glad I finally bought an ice maker.
Works great! Makes ice quickly. Takes up quite a bit of counter space. I wish the lid had a tab on it to make it easier to open. operates quietly. Ice makes a bit of noise when it dumps into the basket but that just tells me to dump it into a ziploc bag and put it in the freezer.

good so far
I've been running this 24/7 for a few months now and so far have not had any issue. It always has ice ready, plenty for about 1-2 glasses which for a single person is plenty enough. You do have to fill it up with water occasionally, but it's easy as just pouring a couple glasses of water over the ice. I was worried that it might run out of water when I need ice the most and not have any ice, but it's not really a problem because you can tell when it's low on water not only because it has an indicator light to tell you, but even prior to the indicator light turning on the ice will look different. You see, the ice compartment and the water compartment are the same. At first that seems weird because wouldn't the ice melt if it's in the same compartment as standing water? It does, and it gradually melts into the bottom part of the compartment and when it fills up enough with water the machine just remakes the ice, so it is constantly working. That means you can tell when it is getting low on water because it will only have sufficient water to produce ice once enough of it has melted, so you will always find your ice partially melted rather than fully formed when you check the ice maker. When you see the ice all looks smaller than usual you know the machine is low on water and you can add water prior to the indicator light coming on. Thus, you never run into the problem of coming to the machine and finding there is no ice at all. My only complaint so far is that because the ice is technically always melting, it causes the ice to stick together. I stopped using the scooper that comes with it because very often the ice is clumped and I need to basically grab the clump with my hand and smash it down to break it apart. It's not a huge deal because it's fairly easy to do, but it is a bit annoying. Keep in mind the fact it is constantly working means you will hear it make noises even when you're asleep. It's not particularly loud, it is just every few hours you will hear the noise of the newly produced ice being dumped into the water/ice compartment. I don't really care about this too much but I mention it in case this might bother other people. Personally, I like the machine a lot, and the only thing that will make me consider coming back and lowering my score is if it stops working sometime soon. I have not even been using this for a full year yet. If it does not last a year that would drastically impact my score. If it lasts at least 5 years I will not change my review at all.
