2030DC-T Computerized Sewing Machine

Janome is a good brand of sewing machine, but this machine, I believe was dropped because one corner of the box was badly damaged. The machine was making a very loud, and longer than it is supposed to be, sound when the machine was turned on. For the price point I wanted a perfectly new machine so I returned it and bought another model from a local sewing machine store. But this model Janome should be a very nice basic sewing machine. It has several nice features. A speed control slider, a needle threader, a start stop button so you don't have to use the floor pedal. If this machine had not had bad damage on the box I probably would have kept it.

This is not a review as to the Machine. The Machine is a good machine, as is the Janome brand. This is about wrong advertising or wrong item(s) in the box. The machine I got was the 2030DC. The description said Janome 2030QDC-G Computerized Quilting and Sewing Machine. I was expecting the 2030QDC with the quilting attachments. When I took the machine out of the box it's label was the 2030DC. Everything on the outside of the box said 2030QDC. The Q is important, as that would be the machine that would have the Quilting attachments, which I was hoping to get. I returned the machine.

So far soo good don't regret buying it.

I’ve had this sewing machine for about 6 months now and I’m very happy with it. I’m not an experienced sewist but I’m learning. It is easy to thread, and wind bobbins. The presser foot can be lifted extra high for thicker projects. My absolute favourite feature is the speed control! I no longer have to worry about it taking off on me at the slightest touch of the foot pedal like my old machine does. I’ve made mostly craft items, like book sleeves, wristlets, pouches, and pillow cases, and have had great results with everything.
