Updated review for Luke's X Wing
First off, Empire and Republic vehicles are scaled differently for those who didn't know already . . . V Wing, 5 Stars: This listing specifically on Amazon has this fighter for an unbeatable price. At first I didn't care for it but considering how cheap it is, I said why not. . . Its a nice little fighter. Comes with everything you need. Even includes a pop up to take the R7 droid out if you need to. . . I however can't figureout if the wings open automatically and that mine is jammed or you're supposed to manually open them wing by wing. It just feels like it has a mechanism that when moving 1 wing ever so slightly should just swing the rest of it open. . . . Luke's X Wing, 4 Stars: Idk when this vehicle released but considering the quality of the build, I say its one of the earliest releases still available on the market. Its nice, its simple, it does what an X wing does. R2 and Luke don't have much of a standout to them so you could imagine it just being a regular X wing pilot if you so dearly want to. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the quality feels cheap. The landing gear when closed shakes and moves around, when setting S foils into attack position it feels rough yet loose at the same time and when in default mode the wings don't close all the way. Either the quality is bad or I got a bad batch. Either way its good for what it is. But far from perfect. . . All in all I am satisfied with my purchase. Highly recommend both vehicles.

Why not get a Y-Wing? These are cool, my son loves these Micro Galaxy Star Wars Ships!
What Star Wars fan wouldn't like an Y-Wing? Not sure of the scale on these items, but the little figures look to be able to drive a little Hot Wheel size car (1:64th scale?). Anyways, my son really loves all things Star Wars and of course got this. I wish these were out when I was a kid, perfect size! Some have parts needing to be assembled, which have been mostly easy - with a few being tricky or a bit tight fit. Overall though really good detail and my son has fun with them. Since they are plastic, durability is overall good, but some pieces might be a bit on the "fragile to assemble" side - once together it's not an issue.

Star wars lovers will enjoy this!
My review comes a few months after I have purchased. I cannot say enough how this was worth it. It was a gift for someone who is rough and tough on things. This X-wing goes everywhere and it has held up. Somehow we have kept ahold of the characters even though theyre so small, theyre precious! We love it and this was one happy buy. Thank you for having a great product at a good price! It’s brought a lot of joy

Cool as beans
It's definitely a cool ship, but I believe it's a little overpriced for what it is, otherwise a good addition to my collection.

I LOVE this Ywing
Ok, I prefer the Prequels to the Original Trilogy, but I LOVE this Ywing. It is super fun with its removable torpedoes/bombs, the design is screen-accurate, and the engines were easy to assemble. The only downside is the body of the Ywing behind the cockpit is WAYY too weathered and dark. I had to take some rubbing alcohol, cotton swabs, and about an hour of my time to make it match the engines coloring, but otherwise it is a 10/10 ship!

Better than the old Galoob Action Fleet version.
I loved Galoob's Action Fleet ships as a kid, and as the second hero ship of the original Star Wars Trilogy (after the Millennium Falcon, of course), the X-Wing was close to, if not my absolute favorite. However there was always one glaring issue with that toy that bothered me; the entire forward fuselage sculpt was wrong, being significantly thicker and blunter than the filming models from the source material. This didn't stop me from having plenty of fun with the toy as a kid, but it did always bother me a little that the starfighter was never as angular and exciting looking as it should have been. This new toy from Jazwares is a bit smaller, but rectifies Galoob's old sculpt oversight, while still retaining all the same functionality of the old Action Fleet toy, with the exception of a mounting point and stand. Molded details are crisp and plentiful. Paint application is clean and accurate. The s-foils (or wings) and landing gear are fully articulated and snap into the open and closed positions with just the right amount of security. The cockpit canopy opens to allow the pilot figure to sit snugly in the seat, and the astromech droid can be inserted and removed easily with a push-in plate on the bottom of the ship. My gripes with the toy are fairly minimal. The astromech could sit more securely in the ship, as it tends to fall out during evasive maneuvers, the cockpit canopy could use slightly more paint to reach the edges, and one final sculpt error has been carried over from previous iterations of the X-Wing in the form of the engine exhausts, which should all be equal length, but are instead longer on the top, and shorter on the bottom. Overall, I think this new X-Wing is the superior version, and so far I'm enjoying the Micro Galaxy Squadron line. It's nice to see them taking on both new and old ships, and I look forward to picking up some more soon.
