Well built and perfect fit
This case is a perfect fit for my Martin 000-15SM which came with a soft case. The soft cases are lightweight which is a plus but they don’t provide the protection of a hard case. The soft case also uses a zipper which makes it harder to get into versus using latches. This Gator case is built well with 5 latches; one is keyed. There were no defects. It has a roomy compartment for picks, capos and tuners. The area below the headstock has plenty of room for the strap. I’m surprised at how good this case is for this price. The interior lining is very soft and cushy. I highly recommend this case for 000 guitars, especially the 000-15SM!

WONDERFUL case
I can't say enough good about this case. I bought this for my 50 year old Yamaha 12-string. The fit is not quite like a skintight glove - there might be 1/2 inch on either side of the upper bout, but I'm delighted - I had the guitar in its original hard case all these years, and this fits better and has much better padding than that original hard case. For comparison: My children gave me a Fender 6-string (without a case) for my birthday, and I bought another case, for $1 less, for the Fender. THERE IS NO COMPARISON in the quality of the cases. I was really picky about the measurements, and I bought a Fender case for this Fender 6-string, and the fit was really good (the 6-string in this GATOR case has extra headroom. So for fit, I made the right choice for each guitar. But, if you want strength in build and latches, the GATOR case is the case to buy. I didn't want identical cases (I wanted to be able to tell the guitars apart by just looking at the case, and I was very focused about fit) but I'm sorry I didn't just buy two of these and add a decal or two to the one holding the 6-string, as a way to distinguish between guitars. This is a FANTASTIC case, ESPECIALLY since circumstances were such that these two cases arrived a week apart, so comparison was inevitable! BTW: I bought the other for two reasons, fit and because I liked that there was a latch at the lowest end of the neck, near the handle. I didn't realize there would NOT be the standard two latches along the lower bout part of the case. So while both cases use 4 latches, on this GATOR case, there are two latches along the side, and two along the bottom (the lower bout), and that arrangement seems more secure. The latch near the handle appealed to me as a point of strength, but the GATOR case offers greater strength in every aspect of its construction. I LOVE this case.

Great product
Great case, I have bought several of these over the years for different guitars and they hold up. They are durable with solid latches and great interior padding. I highly recommend Gator cases.

Fit a 3/4 guitar fine
My old 3/4 small sized guitar had been sitting in my closet for a while, getting in my way, and I wanted to be able to protect it from dust as well as be able to stack it on a shelf without damaging it. A hard case seemed like a much better solution than the other soft cases for this. The price was a bit high for my taste. I wish there were some cheaper hard case options but this seemed like the best option out there. The inside of the case is very nice and soft, with a convenient compartment to store a tuner etc. It has 3 clasps on one side and 1 clasp on the other. The middle of the three clasps has a lock on it. So while outside of the case to me looks like pleather that will degrade over time, the description says it's Tolex PVC which is supposed to be very durable and waterproof. I don't know yet about the longevity but I do see a lot of damaged photos in other reviews so I feel skeptical. Maybe it takes a really hard beating to damage the case but I am not sure. We'll see how it holds up over time. I'm really not too concerned personally as I just want it to be protected and don't care about scuffs. One last concern is the warning on another review that a chemical on this can cause cancer. I assume that it's probably some kind of fire retardant chemical. I'm hoping the exposure will be minimal as it will sit in the back of a closet and I think that many other things we're already exposed to have this chemical like mattresses etc. But I kind of wish they'd put this warning more prominently in the description. Overall the case looks nice. It does the job. I might have bought a different one if I'd noticed the cancer warning though.

Quality Hardshell Case from Gator
I needed a case for my new Sigma acoustic guitar, 000/OM body size. Another Sigma owner here on the Amazon Q & A said this Gator case (model GWE-000AC Hard-Shell Wood Case for Martin Acoustic Guitars Black) fit his Sigma perfectly. I took a chance and am very pleased at the fit and condition of the brand new case. Very plush and nicely padded. Not a scratch on it. Gator is a very reputable brand and I have owned their cases in the past. My only issues are that it's gone up quite a bit in price and as such it's not as much of a value as it once was. The case is lighter weight than other hard cases I've owned; while it seems less durable and robust that a Martin, Taylor or TKL case, some people might like to save on weight and give up a little strength. My other issue with the case is the latches feel kind of cheap and lightweight and I wonder about longer term opening and closing. I'm glad I'm only using this case to store my guitar in the closet. Overall, I recommend this case and it is a quality product as long as you use it for its intended purpose (i.e., not a flight case).

Despite some surprises, it protects my guitar and is a good value for the money.
I received this about six weeks ago and it's been fine. It's sturdy and attractively built. It's a bit heavy, but it's made of wood and you can expect that. When the case arrived, I understood immediately why some reviewers complained about damage to their cases. It was packed in a large rectangular box with no cushioning in it whatsoever. During shipping, the case would just have bounced around the shipping box. I was lucky there was no damage. The case was a little difficult to open it the first time because one of the latches was stuck. A quick twist with a screwdriver took care of the problem and it's worked perfectly since. The inside of the case is very nice. It's well padded and fits my 12-string guitar perfectly. Some reviewers have complained that their case didn't match the advertised measurements, but I found my case to be correctly sized. The storage compartment is large and can hold what I need it to hold. Overall, I'm happy with the case and found it to be a good value for the money.

Feels more high-end than it is!
I normally don't write reviews, but this case is a beauty! I originally ordered the more expensive Gator Journeyman Tweed case with blue interior, but it wasn't as nice in person and not as sturdy. This case feels like it was built by Martin specifically for my 000, heck, it's probably even nicer than the overpriced Martin cases. I would definitely buy this case again. No quality issues on the case I received like some others, but I must say the packaging was a flimsy box with no bubble wrap, just a little packaging paper inside but not much, thankfully it arrived A-ok!

Good Case
This case fits my Martin OM-style guitar perfectly. It seems to be very sturdy and should protect my guitar well for years to come. It's a bit on the heavy side, but I expect that from a plywood case. The interior has a thick plush lining and a good-size compartment in the bulkhead between the body and headstock sections. The headstock section has plenty of room for me to leave the electronic tuner attached. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that there are 5 latches that need to be opened or closed when taking the guitar in and out instead of 3, as on most cases. Maybe all those latches make it stronger or more secure, I don't know. I only know that if you take the guitar in and out of its case a lot, those extra latches get a little annoying. Certainly not a show-stopper, but annoying just the same. At least for me. I do, however, like the fact that the latch near the handle has a lock built into it. Overall, this seems to be a quality case at a good price and I would have no problem recommending it to anyone less easily annoyed than I.
