Intuitive to use
For a single switch light this dimmer is excellent: no ground, no neutral required, great company installation videos and documentation. Best of all the dimming functionality is very smooth and intuitive. It is also attractive - and the visible but very low intensity light line on the right hand side adds an aspect of safety. My wife and I love it. We bought 3 more through Amazon. The only caution is that if a light has multiple switches connected to it, the ability for a novice with things electrical to make it work will depend on how well the original wiring was done. We have foyer ceiling lights controlled by 4 switches two of which were wired over 60 years ago. The wires are all the same color so I can’t tell which traveller wire is which. There are other complications with the two on/off switches. But in nearly all cases it is easy to install and works wonderfully.

Fantastic dimmer switches
I never thought I would be this excited about light switches, but here we are. These dimmer switches are great, and the main reason I decided to go for these instead of the Leviton slider bar dimmer switches I just installed a few months ago was simply because of the light up slider control on the right side of the switch. It's a small detail but it gives a very modern feel and I love the operation as well. The slider bar also acts as a night light as it lights up even when the switch is off, it's dim enough to not be distracting but makes it easy to locate the switch in the dark especially for guests staying over who may be unfamiliar with the house. The switch is not like standard 'decora' rocker switches that locks in the on/off position - instead it stays in the middle position at all times, you simply push the top portion for 'on' and the bottom portion for 'off' and the switch returns to the middle, making for near silent operation. This detail will make it stand out slightly compared to traditional switches if they're next to each other, but it's hardly noticeable. When you switch the lights on, they start from fully dim and go up to full brightness and vice versa when shutting off - makes for an aesthetic transition. They're pricey at $40 a piece, especially when you have a lot of dimmer switches, but they're worth it for the cool factor and quality alone. It'll cost around around $400 for me to replace all of them in our house but I'll do them over the course of the year as I feel like it. It's a very well built switch and given the design I can't see the toggle wearing out like traditional switches eventually will. I wish I would have gone for these to begin with instead of the slider Leviton switches as now I'm retracing my footsteps.

So fancy!
These are so fancy! Features of note: - the switch is more of a button, as it will jump back to the neutral position after being pressed. - the lights gently fade to on and off rather than jumping straight to on and off - the touch dimmer works flawlessly - if you press and hold the “off” position for a few seconds, the dimmer light will start flashing. This is a 30 second countdown in which it will stay on and then fade to off, giving you time to walk back to bed without having to do it in the dark - when the light is off, the dimmer light glows softly, like a gentle night light so that you can always find it The one tiny little hiccup is more of a personal one, which is that I was used to being able to turn on my light switch by feel, and I can’t really do that now. Actually having to look at my light switch to use it is not a bad trade-off though. So far the light switch has confused only one of my guests, but her 4-year-old daughter showed her what to do! Installation was easy.

Top shelf product
Great product. More sophisticated than expected due to touch response. Pricey, but delivers value in quality. The light on face is subtle and does not disrupt sleep.

Simply great
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this new dimmer, but they are superb and we’re buying more to swap out all our old dimmers. I haven’t tried the multi-location/3-way option yet, but everything else about this has been top quality. They look nice and make it easy to have just enough light to get to the coffee machine and wake up before turning the lights up more.

Will not dim properly with high light load
This dimmer deserves 5 stars for a five light or less installation (based on my experience). It looks great, I love the dimming operation and it offers a lot of flexibility in its operation. BUT, but it does not work when controlling a large number of lights. I installed 16, 4inch recessed lights (compatible with the switch) in a game room and the dimmers (note the plural because I tried two identical dimmers) worked fine at full brightness, but would make the lights flicker on all dimmer settings. I measured the power load of each light (7.5 watts) using a power meter. The total load was less than 130 watts. The switch is rated for 150 watts. I still give it 4 stars, but I don't know how many lights it takes before the switch reaches its limit. I ended up using both dimmers in two other rooms, where they work great.

Great Product and Great Customer Support
I bought this to dim a bank of 6 globe LEDs over a bathroom vanity. I was unaware that the LEDs in there were not dimmable so things did not go right initially (my bad). Lutron customer support was absolutely fantastic. They helped me determine my issue and which bulbs to use. With the proper bulbs this dimmer works exceptionally well - even at a very low level of light there is zero flicker. Their site has a bulb compatibility tool - I wish I had gone there first.

Easy to install touch dimmer
Let's be clear - I dont mess with electricity ever! In fact, this was my first install of anything beyond a smoke alarm which didn't need electricity anyhow! This was an easy install... 15 minutes tops and that was mostly to double check everything I was doing 10 times over. I like how you just slide your finger up and down and dont need to actually press anything to adjust. It's pretty slick. And it has a soft glowing bar that lets you know if the lights are 1/3rd dimmed or 3/4 or wherever you stop your finger. It's modern and is very seamless and unobtrusive on a wall. The trickiest thing was the wall plate and separating it so I could screw the base plate in and then reattach the wall plate to the base. They come connected and separating them makes it feel like you will break it. Use an old credit card to slip between them and they pop apart. We looked that up online. Otherwise, easy install like I said. They could just use that pro-tip in their directions!
