Review: Currently my favourite tarot set - These are beautifully illustrated with lots of symbolism, every detail seems well thought out. The presentation is beautiful with a magnetic clasp box and a ribbon to help to remove the cards. The book gives good insight into the cards and is beautifully written. There is some nudity but I don't see this as out of context, I suppose it depends how open minded people are but I would expect that if you are open to tarot you would be a generally open minded person anyway. I have many sets of cards but these are my go to cards. Review: A great set of cards - These cards were produced last year, 2017. Their creator, Kristoffer Hughes, is Chief of the Anglesey Druid Order, a Mount Haemus Scholar, and a Druid in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. The beautiful and vibrant illustrations are produced by Chris Down, who lives near Stonehenge. The book that accompanies the cards is very informative, feels lovely to hold, and is illustrated in full colour throughout; the pictures of the individual cards being nearly the complete size of each page of the book! Seven of the cards (King of Cauldrons; 3 of Cauldrons; 9 of Shields; Knight of Swords; 4 of Swords; The Shadow and The Chariot) are fully in the nude. The Star is too, but that would be normal for this card. Of all the tarot decks I have, (25+) none show nudity. I don't understand the reasoning behind it in these cards. A see-through garment, as shown in the Page of Cauldrons would have been acceptable in my opinion. It's just that if using them for readings, cards such as the King and 3 of Cauldrons could distract!!! Just have to hope they don't all turn up in the same reading!!! Readings are not the only use Tarot has. They can be used for meditation, healing, in fact anything you put your mind to, but I do believe that the majority of people using tarot use them for readings - hence their popularity. I intend tryng these out in readings and see how it goes. Will let you know later how it develops.

Lovely deck
Well made deck, good card stock and shuffles smoothly. It’s visually very colourful with clear artistry and a very informative book. It’s based on the RWS tarot and is easy to understand if you’re already familiar with tarot.

A Brilliant Tarot Pack
I have a number of tarot packs already. When I came across this one, I loved the designs. I also judged from the reviews that the descriptions of each of the cards would be clear and to the point. So no 'fluffy bunny' platitudes. This was absolutely true. I find they help me to get to the heart of the issue(s) I'm working with (I mostly use tarot to help me reflect on my journey/inner work and blind spots). Kristoffer's words and the designs do this very well. It quickly became my 'go to' pack if I'm struggling to make sense of something in my life. Yesterday, the 3 of wands appeared and the message was 'to put my Awen where my mouth is!' which I think is spot on. I love these cards and see that a lot of love and care has gone into their production. if you are up for some challenge or you are serious about your inner journey, buy them. They are worth every penny

Money well spent
The box the deck came with is simply beautiful. Nice clear book and written in an easy way to read. The cards are beautiful, even if maybe they could have been a little bit sturdier. Arrived in perfect time. In all, very happy with the purchase.

Love the deep, rich colours and artwork of this deck
Love the everything about this deck the artwork, vibrancy, colours, and full page colour photo of each card in the accompanying book. I would have given this five stars but unfortunately there are some quality issues with the print on many of the cards in the set I received. It seems as though the cards have white speckles over some of the darkest areas of print which really spoils their appearance. So sad to have to return them as there are not many sets left in print these had to be sent from Germany. I will try and get another set elsewhere as I think maybe Amazon have received a bad batch.

Beautiful, stunning, charming & captivating
What a wonderful and beautiful set of Tarot. I am trilled with them. I have many sets of cards at home, which have been floating around for years, but for a while I have pondered getting my own ‘fresh’ set and these called to me. I am utterly delighted with them and I am sure that they will serve me well for many years to come. Mae fy nhaith yn dechrau. diolch.

I haven't reviewed a deck for a little while because of other (good) things happening in life, but I received this one today after many months of pre-order and a few things jumped out at me right away that I wanted to mention. I wasn't sure about this deck when I pre-ordered because it looked like it might use a heavy amount of digital art...just an impression I got from viewing the images online. I am not a huge fan of photorealism in my Tarot decks (Tarot Illuminati sticks out as one that I wanted desperately to love and couldn't forgive the jarring Photoshopped images); this is not the case with Celtic Tarot. While it appears the artist may have used photographs as his starting point, the images retain a more hand-drawn effect that softens them. The deck is definitely based on the RWS system, but there are a few deviations that are probably explained in the gorgeous, full-colour book (a treasure in itself). A few cards made me stop and think for a little while: Nine of Cups looks like a party-gone-bad with the severed head on the table (not as gruesome as I make it sound!); King of Shields has a servant-looking woman rubbing his feet (hmm...); King of Cups is full-on naked, and he's the only Court Card to be depicted that way (my husband and I had a discussion about this); and a few cards have had their names changed to reflect their Druidic influences (not a problem...the changes make sense to me). Speaking of nudity, however...I have rarely encountered a deck with as much MALE nudity as this deck has. Please know that I don't consider it obscene or profane or anything...in fact, I think it's refreshing to see men shown in all naked glory because naked women are all over the place. The human body shouldn't be shamed or shunned, and this deck does a good job of presenting some nude people in the context of the card meanings. So if you have problems with nudity or are reading for people who might object to that sort of thing, please bear this in mind. And as an aside, I found it interesting that some cards which were typically depicted with nudes had clothed people, and others that were usually clothed had the nudity. I would also consider this deck very gender-inclusive. Cards like the Four of Wands that typically depict male-female are male-male in this case. The Lovers shows a couple that could be male-female or male-male. Sideways of this, the Two of Wands shows a woman instead of a man, and I found it curious and refreshing that Justice was male in this deck...shown just the same as traditional Justice, but a man. I'm sure there are a few others I'm not recalling at the moment, but you get the idea. (By the way, the deck is not so racially inclusive, but being a Celtic deck, I can see why) In some ways, this deck reminds me of The Modern Spellcaster's Tarot, but it has a distinct Celtic vibe (duh!). Overall, I very much like this deck and enjoy the appearance of the occasional dragon here and there. These days I do more collecting than reading, but when I have a chance to get back to my Tarot studies, I'll be very happy to have this deck in my collection. The standard-sized cards are a little thin, but not worse than your typical Llewellyn fare, and they feel like they'll be easy to shuffle. The box is nice and sturdy with a magnetic closure. And as mentioned before, the full-colour book is beautiful and a wealth of information (just having read the introduction, Kristoffer Hughes writes in a very engaging fashion). Very happy with this purchase, and I would recommend it to beginners and seasoned readers alike with the caveat that the (tasteful) nudity may not be to everyone's tastes.

Acorde a celtas.
