Before a long ride, applying a layer of Aquaphor to areas prone to chafing is helpful. Because it is thick, a small amount is sufficient. It creates a protective barrier that reduces friction for hours. This results in a more comfortable ride with less skin irritation. Aquaphor can also treat already irritated areas. Applying a thin layer after showering can make a noticeable difference by the next morning. It soothes and promotes faster healing than other balms and creams. While some sources suggest that petroleum-based products may damage the chamois fabric in shorts over time, applying it directly to the skin has shown no issues for me. I’m also using chamois cream. The fact that it is fragrance-free and for sensitive skin is an added benefit. Aquaphor is a cost-effective, multi-purpose ointment that works better than high-priced specialty products. Looking at the ingredient list, it appears to be the same formula as the adult variant.

We love Aquaphor!!! We buy multiple of these Aquaphor tubs when they are on sale. We apply them to kids face to avoid dryness, especially in the winter. It’s gentle on skin and not irritating. Keeps skin smooth. We also used it to apply to baby bottoms to prevent diaper rash. Also great for chapped lips and dry hands. By the way, Baby Aquaphor, regular Aquaphor, and Children’s Aquaphor are all the same.

Best ointment protection from diaper rash but it has multi therapy use. Good for young and old. Every household should stock this handy ointment. Good price and last a long time.

I purchase this frequently for the toddler and the daughter-in-law, whose feet are cracked from severe psoriasis. She loves it, can't live without it.

This stuff is EXACTLY the same as the regular Aquaphor but cheaper. No idea why, but it seems to me that someone is cheating here. It works fine for dry skin, but basically, it's petroleum jelly.
