Call of Duty: WWII (PS4)

Love the Game.. a bit short for my taste. But OA-Gameplay is great.

Good game

We bought this to replace our old missing copy. It IS NOT a US version. It says "ESRB Rating" in the headline of the ad, but the actual disk is European meaning it will not allow you to connect to the PS Live for add ons. Very upsetting that vendors on the US amazon site are allowed to dump extra inappropriate copies on the US market. The vendors know they are sending you the wrong disk and must feel that is okay because they've reduced the price. Buyer beware. This is about the 5th time we've been burned this way. Fortunately, it was cheap so the loss isn't great. The review of the game though is opposite. It's superb. Great story, reasonably good couch coop. Nothing to complain about except a few bugs in the offline multiplayer setup. You do lose all settings when restarting the console. But the fun is there and you should grab it if you enjoy an evening of fun with real friends in front of the screen.

So many World War II games focus on making the war the protagonist of the story. They want the player to experience the war from beginning to the end. As a result, they hop on from character to character to provide as many viewpoints about the war as possible. This makes sense from a business standpoint since they can have different background and scenarios to work with. However, Call of Duty WWII is the first game in a long time to truly focus on the brotherhood behind a platoon of soldiers. We don't even see the war end! The war continues but the story of our group of soldiers is over and that's what is rewarding about this experience. Our protagonist is also a character of his own. We see him grow as a character and we learn things from him he only let on gradually as the story moved on. The connection between him and his squad-mates was unreal. The level of character depth each one has was astounding and the action pieces really had me stressed about their well-being. As a Call of Duty game, you already know the gameplay was top notch. I was even able to hold my own without the aim assist on hard difficulty. The graphics were just mind-blowing too. This was a movie up to par to the likes of Saving Private Ryan. I truly enjoyed this game to the fullest and will remember this one when comparing it to others. I play games for a good story and this was like nothing else.

I have played all of the metal of honor games And most of the Call of Duty games. I have played a lot of World War II FPS games. This one Is pretty darn good! The PS3 FPS games came a long way over the years. But this game on the PS4 definitely has better graphics. Everything has really better details and looked very close like a movie. Definitely much more realistic then the games on the PS3. This game had a lot of shooting in a variety of scenes, in a variety of weapons and even taking on the role of vehicles, Such as tanks, planes, anti aircraft guns ETC. My only real criticism of this game is there were a lot of sneaking around missions that were fairly long. If I buy a FPS video game I expect mostly shooting. I was also surprised the final battle was not as long and grand. But that's really the only things that I can say I did not like about this game. Again it was very realistic And definitely stirred your emotions

This is such a fun game, I haven’t played COD for years and this was a great one to return to the franchise on. The multiplayer is fun, the controls are tight and the graphics are fantastic! Fast shipping and a great price, can definitely recommend to anyone! 10/10
