2 Blade Potato Chipper

Bent the handle trying g to chip first potato. Potato got stuck in the blades and the handle bent as I tried to press it through. The body of this item is plastic. The blades are stainless steel. Really disappointed. Went straight in the bin after failing to chip 1 potato. Do not buy this.

Makes perfect chips and so simple to use however you do need a bit of strength at times to get the blade through the potato

A potato is far stronger than the chipper can manage. No amount of pressing even gets a bit of potato out. Even par boiling them doesn't work. They just squash up, not slide through. The device is also very hard to clean. In no way is this labour saving, it makes lots of work and - at best - makes mashed potato not chips.

Since it's plastic it's not as strong as I would like for stirdy potatoes. Tough potatoes will shoot out from the end so works well as a chip launcher.

will not cut hard potatos

Seem to work well (only just got it) It's and very easy to you. My disabled mum wanted it and it works well for her. Very sturdy

I used this product and it was useless. Using a soft potato I tried to chip it. The blades only went a cm in and then stopped. I tried it several more times increasing the force applied to the handle but the blade never went more than a cm into the potato. I bought this one after sending a cup type 2 piece plastic one back as I thought it looked sturdier. I gave up with the increase in force because I thought anymore force and it was likely to brake. I now believe unless I by a similar shape product made of steel with counter grip there is no hope of a manual chip chopper working. I've rated this 1 star as there is no option for no stars. Please take heed and don't bother buying it.

As an elderly person I find that this item is no good for me as I can’t seem to press the lever down to cut the potatoes. So would not reccomend to the elderly.
