Great inexpensive vacuum bags
(full refund was provided for the defective pump) the big reason i went with this product was the included vacuum pump. The thing is garbage. couldn't get a single bag to vacuum seal. I ended up using our vacuum pump from our larger clothes bags to do the trick. but as i sit hear typing this, i can hear crinkling from the bags like they are losing their seal. will update this review if im pleasantly surprised but im not going to hold my breath. Update: bags appear to be holding vacuum. Seller offered refund for the defective pump.

Disappointing Vacuum Bags and Vacuum
I purchased the "AMOLEN Filament Storage Bags Vacuum Kit, Cleaning Drying Sealed 16 Bags with Two Sizes for 3D Printer Filament with Automatic Pump" for my 3D filament and I was extremely disappointed. Three of the 16 bags failed to retain their vacuum (18% failure rate) and there were no Humidity Indicator strips included in the package (something other reviewers have mentioned). The Automatic Pump is either severely under powered and/or the valves on the bags are a terrible design as it takes forever for the pump to suck out the air from the smaller single spool bags and even longer for the larger bags. The pump also releases smells of burning plastic when active which is awesome since the pump is also so slow that you get even more fumes with which to fill your workspace. I used an automatic pump from another bag manufacturer and found that it pumped the air out more quickly and with less finagling. It was still slower than pumping the air out of the other brand of bags so I'm leaning towards both the included pump being under powered and the valve on the bags being a poor design. The smaller bags also have a white square label printed on them for describing the contents. This label happens to be at the right height that it also blocks out the label of the spools of filament so that you either have to flip the spool so that the label is displayed through the other side of bag which is semi-opaque or rotate the spool so that it's not obscured by the bag's label but then is at an odd angle. Not a show stopper but another indicator that they didn't test these bags with filament spools. Also the included instructions for the pump mentioned food and clothing storage and nothing about filament showing they adapted this product for filament rather than designing it for filament. Also, I was in a bit of a hurry when ordering these so I didn't see that they only came with two Sealing Clips and only eight Desiccant pouches. Clips are supper cheap so why only include two for 16 bags? The same with the desiccant, why only eight for 16 bags? So irritating. Overall, a pretty poor experience with this kit. At the very least include everything that is promised in the description and don't ship electronics that smell like they're burning when you use them.

Great For Maintaining Filament
I have been storing my open filament in a gasketed covered tote with desiccant inside. I typically use ABS, but have some PLA also and just added nylon. One time using a stored PLA filament, it kept breaking on me. Time to dry up the filament spools, especially since nylon is very hygroscopic. There are two sizes of bags in this kit. The small one will fit one 1kg spool, but when drawing the air out, it draws in to the point the pump cannot finish before the port is inaccessible. The picture shows the difference. The big one might hold 2 spools, not sure, but the best size for me would be a size in the middle of these two. The desiccant bags in the kit might keep a dry spool dry if immediately put in a into the bag with desiccant and evacuated, but they are too small to do any good if your spools have already absorbed moisture. I'll be using desiccant bags, a Sunlu S1 Filadryer to both dry and dispense, and small digital hygrometers in printed hub mounts to keep my filament dry and monitored from now on. During printing the filament is continually absorbing moisture, so the dryer, or a dry box is a good add. I will probably not use the color changing gauges from the kit. There is no information on them, so I do not know if they can they be reset like color changing desiccant, or if they are a disposable. Even if they can be reset, I hate to have to bake them to be reused. If you find your filament breaking like dry uncooked spaghetti, it's time to dry it out. Jim

It Worked!
At first I had a hard time getting it to work and was ready to give up on it but then I got the hang of it. I made to sure the bag was completely sealed and really made sure at the suction area the bag was flat with no creases before applying suction. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and the ones I have vacuum sealed are holding up. I'm happy with it.

Good value until the pump died
Worked decently for the price until the pump stopped working altogether. Vacuum was kind of slow but for the price seemed to be a good deal. A few of the bags appeared to have trouble staying sealed but re-closing them fixed some of it. The pump died after a month and I had to return it.

Awesome little vacuum with a good amount of bags and dessicant packets
I've been using these to seal up my 3d printing filaments for a few months now, and I'm confident I made the right purchase with this kit. The vacuum pump is high quality. I've used it so seal and reseal bags around 50 times and still haven't had to recharge it. When properly seated over the little circle flaps on the bag (and with a decent amount of pressure applied from the top) it'll evacuate a bag with a roll of filament in around 15 seconds. The bags are nice, but you have to make sure you completely snap every part of the zip strip. Sometimes you'll get a seal failure and think "well, clearly this bag has gone bad" only to realize you missed a small spot on the strip. The dessicant packets are larger than the ones that come with my filaments, so I just chuck one in each bag along with the smaller one the filament came with. So far, using this kit, I haven't had any moisture contamination issues with my printing.
