The picture is bliss but One Connect box has design issues.
***Pros*** Amazon package delivered with care by two reps. 1.2 cm (.47 inches) thin!!! No ads or bloatware out of the box!!! Did a version update w/ network connection, a factory reset and disconnected it for a clean interface. Immaculate and vibrant image after proper calibration and does not heat up the room. Colors temps and gamut show very well with awesome white balance. HDR10+ stands out. One Connect box form factor is slimmer and provides better Input flexibility. ***Cons*** One Connect Cable is shorter then previous models (12 ft) so plan ahead when mounting. Certified fiber optic HDMI 2.1 recommended which comes with a heavy price. Stock speakers distort with low frequencies (better off with home theatre amp or sound bar). The remote is made from recycled plastic and feels cheap. Good for sustainability but expected more this is dubbed a "flagship" product. Got a stuck / bright red pixel caused by a malfunction in the transistor which allows light through sub pixels. This requires “pixel refreshing” which takes an hour. ***UPDATE Jan 2024*** Random HDMI signal drops started occurring more frequently during regular media playback and device power up. I would have to power cycle sound bar and TV to resolve each time. Returned the 65" model and purchased an 77" S95CA with no immediate issues using the same cables.

Absolutely Phenomenal Image but some Drawbacks
Absolutely incredible image. Blows my 1000 nit MSI OLED monitor out of the water. The first package I received had me thinking this may be a scam at first, because they sent me an HDMI cable with a note on the box saying the TV would be delivered at a later date, but the TV was delivered at the date they said it would be. Only complaints about the TV are that the One Connect Box, although advertised as HDMI 2.1, is not the full 48Gbps that HDMI 2.1 requires, its 40Gbps. But with Display Stream Compression enabled you'd never go over this limit anyways. Another major downside, the Ethernet port on the OCB is 100/10, which means it's limited to only 100Mbps, essentially making Ethernet pointless. WiFi is faster than Ethernet is on this TV. If you're planning on getting this TV to do cloud gaming, then this would be a major downside, but luckily I have my own Gaming PC and console so I will never need to use cloud gaming on the TV. Still would be nice to get my full bandwidth while streaming on the Smart TV. And lastly, I have read nothing but horror stories about Tizen OS 8.0. My TV came shipped with Tizen 7.0, but it constantly asks me to update to One UI / Tizen 8.0. Samsung does not allow you to downgrade your OS on these TVs, so it's not worth the risk updating the firmware / OS. I'll be waiting for Tizen 9.0 before I update the firmware. And to address the other reviews that claim the audio quality on the TV is bad, the audio sounds great on mine, but would be accentuated nicely with a sound bar. One feature that I love on this TV, is that you can change the delay of your aftermarket audio. For example I have TOSLINK/optical Bose Cinemate surround sound speakers connected to the TV, and I can change the audio delay of the speakers so that they match up with the TVs speakers. Which was a major issue on all the previous TVs that I owned, because the Bose speakers and TV speakers would not be in sync with each other, which made this awful sounding reverb effect. Overall, TV image is a just absolutely mind blowing. I can't put into words how incredibly phenomenal the colors and overall image are. And it even has this Real Depth Enhancer feature that will up the contrast of images in the foreground which makes them look 3D. While there are some drawbacks to this TV, I got it for 40% off which is an incredible deal so I'm very satisfied with it.

Customer service sucks - do not buy
Beautiful picture, thus the one star. TV Main board stopped working 22 months from purchase date - no warranty - $595 repair cost - could have been more. I have been trying to get it fixed for 2 weeks - repair people are good, but it took extra time for part to arrive and it did today - and the main board is defective - have been without the tv for 2 weeks and now can't get anyone on the phone - will likely take another week to repair if the part is correct - horrible customer service from Samsung - buy a Sony or other tv - service sucks and a TV that costs nearly $5K should not break in 22 months. Very, very disappointed - I also have another one that is smaller than the 77" one, but I am done with Samsung after this - they should be overnighting the part, but I can't get anyone to pick up the call - on permanent hold - they suck. Don't buy Samsung. they came to fix it for a third time - still not fixed - waiting one to two weeks inbetween each appointment - tv is on dining room floor for the last month - customer service offers absolutely no help - won't overnight anything - just tell us that they too would be upset - what a joke - don't buy Samsung - absolutely horrific

This Is AWESOME!
I figured out that a 77" TV was the biggest screen I could possibly fit in my Living room and the S95C series was getting rave reviews. I ordered it and the Amazon crew cheerfully installed it. I really like the central base: it fits on my media cabinet perfectly. The Q Symphony feature lets you run a Samsung Soundbar system in parallel with the TV's speakers and it sounds great. The picture is absolutely insane (in a good way) Fantastic contrast, excellent brightness, screen barely reflects (you won't notice unless the screen goes black). User interface takes getting used to and can frustrate until you get experience with it. Otherwise, I've streamed directly from the internet, done OTA TV, run game consoles, displayed my laptop via both Bluetooth and HDMI, and the Blu-ray player never looked better. For concert media I can optical audio out to my vintage audio receiver via an optical DAC. This TV has completed and surpassed my expectations.

Amazing TV
Picture quality is amazing. It's a very nice TV and well worth the money. The set up with the separate "processor" box that contains all of the HDMI in, optical out, etc. is interesting. You can attach that box to the back of the TV, but it will need 2-3" additional room behind the TV it to make it work. If you're trying to get it as close to the wall as possible, you're going to have a cord running to the box that will be somewhere else (bookshelf, TV stand, etc.) Samsung also has some on-demand video services embedded in the TV software which can be nice depending on the selection. It didn't recognize the Nintendo Switch immediately, but it does recognize other gaming consoles. I haven't played around with the "console-less gaming" but it's intriguing. I didn't expect a solar recharging remote but I'll appreciate not replacing the batteries every 6-12 months. It's a reasonably heavy TV (over 60 lbs). You will need 2 people to unbox it effectively. Mounting it on a wall or a TV stand will also probably take 2 people as there's not a real "frame" around the TV to grip and you don't want to damage the screen by applying too much pressure to it. Even if you're a strong guy, you will struggle because it's awkward without anywhere to grip onto.

Update - TV image is brilliant; Samsung replaced defective stand in 7 days;
As part of the update, I can now vouch for the quality of the TV image at this time. It truly is brilliant. Wide viewing angles, deep color saturation and of course deep blacks. I did have difficulties getting it running, however. I bought this TV on the basis of product reviews and Samsung's reputation. Ordered 11/28 arrived 11/30/2024. Unfortunately, the heavy TV stand requires assembly and the pinlock mechanism for our unit is defective, preventing us from mounting the TV. Samsung replaced the stand after requesting live access to my phone's camera to verify the defect. Apparently a still image wasn't enough. There is a good chance that more Amazon sourced QN65S95C Q-OLED TVs (shipped from New Jersey) have defective stands. There is another reviewer here who reported the same problem. My unit was assembled in Mexico in March 2024 so has been sitting around waiting for the defective stand to be discovered by its unsuspecting new owner. The TV box arrived with two (2" and 4") punctures that did not penetrate the inner box. The new TV is heavier than my old 65" Samsung LCD which has a broad but lightweight and stable stand; this one has a narrow steel stand weighing over 18 pounds to provide stability. The TV panel sits 2-3 inches closer to the front of the stand than the back, forcing the panel to be parked at least 7 inches from any nearby wall. That's a big gap for such a thin panel. A big miss IMHO. Amazon sent me directly to Samsung who provided good personable and polite support but required live access to my phone camera, additional pictures, purchase details to beat the band and access to the serial number which is only visible on the TV panel itself, not on the OneConnect box or anyplace easier to find. Upshot is that Samsung faltered a bit here on a great looking TV. It produced a manufacturing defect on top of a poor stand design that is heavier and more cumbersome than is expected.

Excellent Picture ... But
The picture quality is excellent, but only if the the pre-sets are adjusted. Filmmaker and Movie are the most accurate modes. Standard and Dynamic are garish. I found these to be the best settings for SDR content. Picture Mode: Filmmaker Contrast Enhancer: Off Color Tone: Warm 2 Shadow Detail: -1 (At this setting 2% black on the Spears and Munsil calibration disk is just visible, but this will depend on the brightness of the room.) Color: 26 Color Space: Auto Brightness: 50 (Settings below 48 are noticeably dimmer.) Contrast: 38 (Settings higher than 38 clip the highlights.) Peak Brightness: High Gamma: BT. 1886 produces a Gamma of 2.4 or a little lower and produces a rich, deep look. Gamma 2.2 looks a bit flat and colors are desaturated. Shadow Detail: -1 All automatic adjustments based on ambient light: Off I did a 10 point gray scale run and found only one delta error above 3, which was easily corrected. The calibration resulted in a nearly perfect picture. In HDR, the Picture Mode should be Filmmaker. Brightness should be set to 50 and Contrast to 50. Peak Brightness should be High. HDR material varies greatly in brightness. You may have to set ST. 2084 (which replaces gamma in HDR) as high as +3. Shadow Detail shlould be +1. Do not use Contrast Enhancer and turn off all the controls based on ambient light (including motion control). The Color Space shoud be set to DCI-P3, as REC. 2020 is too saturated.

Endgame TV
We were so impressed with 4K/UHD Blu-Ray content on this TV that we ended up building a movie collection shortly after it was installed. The 77" size makes the detail in 4K content significantly more noticeable compared to our previous 65" OLED TV from a few years ago. This generation of OLED TVs are extremely bright, perhaps too bright for a dark room. The improved brightness is probably the main thing that we noticed after the size of the TV. The colors look amazing. I read that this TV covers 100% of every gamut in use today, and it does seem to be the case. Works perfectly with Apple TV and PS5 connected via an AVR. Apple TV 4:2:2 mode works with this TV as does HDR10 and HDR12 content. We used to notice some judder on our previous LG C1 TV from something in the video pipeline, but that seems to be gone with this new TV, perhaps due to faster processing on the TV for tone-mapping or resampling. Up-sampled HD content looks and "feels" better in terms of smoothness and clarity in side-by-side comparisons. Viewing angles seem to be 180 degrees - Colors look the same no matter the viewing angle. Honestly not sure how Samsung is going to be able to improve this TV from here. I don't really want the image to be any brighter or it's going to start hurting my eyes. Video is smooth from Plex, Blu-Ray, and streaming services. It already has perfect color accuracy. In terms of field of view it feels like being near the back of a theater from the couch, except the image quality is significantly better than any projector I've used at home or in theaters. Maybe the last TV we'll ever buy?
