It's 0.7mm pencil lead...hb I believe.....er....what more can I say! It's very leady.. is that a real word? You can draw a picture with them, but you ll need a mechanical pencil and some paper. You might need an eraser as well.... and maybe a desk light. And a table and desk and a chair. Maybe a coffee and a biscuit as well. Oh, maybe a radio as well. That would be good. I think that's about it

I found that the lead still squeaks slightly which is a bit annoying. I wish I could find lead that is the same as the "Paper Mate - grip" mechanical pencil (now discontinued I think). This lead is similar in terms of colour and softness but the Paper Mate - Grip pencil I used had no squeak and was such a gem to use.
