Last update: My perfect boy has crossed over the rainbow. I’m happy to say I did all I could + this syrup really added to his care. It got us further than anyone predicted. The leftover bottle my other Yorkie uses when he has episodes of tracheal collapse. A very common -unfortunate issue for small breeds. This syrup is now part of our permanent arsenal of health. First Update: April 2024. My boy has made it to his 16th birthday! We still use this product to adjunct his meds. He suffers from trachea collapse + heart issues. Without this we would have suffered greatly. We are well on 14+ bottles. .. since 2022 First review: My Yorkie is about to make his 15th birthday in a week, and I believe this syrup has really helped us get through the last 5 months of really challenging episodes. We both had many sleepless nights, he mostly restless, honking, coughing, not able to catch his breath.. I thought times I would loose him on the spot crying being helpless. Vets have been a huge let down, they only want to give him hydrocodone and such a tiny amount to take home that inevitably makes us beg for more.. and of course a vets response is "com on in!!"... a few $$$ hund's later.. I couldnt do it again after our last visit was $1k. One night I was desperate searching the internet for something accessible and non narcotic, (I was introduced to Chinese medicine for dogs years ago when I had a Chihuahua with cancer) and I came across this....and it all changed for the better. We are NOW on our 7th bottle... I have been ordering religiously since sept. It has been our only saving grace and my dog just sees the bottle in my hands and sits for it. I originally had dosed it in a syringe but sometimes I had to act out fast and now I just pour a quarter size out on my palm and he licks it off.. It does take a few seconds and he really calms down... both agitation and cough and we ve been sleeping mostly through the night..when he does wake up its now 1x a night... prior to starting this we would be up every hour on the hour through the night and we both were zombies during the day.

This cough syrup is a miracle for my 14 year old poodle. He has gone through his first bottle and due to my lack of organization, I misplaced his second bottle, so I'm ordering replacement today. Charlie looks forward to the 1/4 tsp. I give him when he gets excited and coughs. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but our fur baby is worth it. Before I bought PawHealer Cough Syrup, Charlie was awake all night coughing. That was really rough. I like the fast shipment from Amazon and this syrup costs less than ordering directly from PawHealer. Thank you, Amazon!

I am SHOCKED. I shouldn’t be based on the reviews but you always think it won’t work for us. Well it did!!!! My dog is 15 with a collapse trachea. He occasionally gets throat infections from it and has to get antibiotics. Sometimes two rounds of antibiotics and is given hydrocodone which I hate to give him especially during the day. Even at night I didn’t think it made a significant difference. I tried this hoping for the best. It has made a SIGNIFICANT change in my dogs cough. His energy level. Everything. He feels and sounds SO much better. His cough is not completely gone but it has only been two days and I see such a difference. I have such a relief seeing my baby feeling so much better. It was so hard to watch him cough and all the vet visits. It did give him some diarrhea but did not upset his stomach appetite wise vomiting etc. thank god. This stuff is incredible. I hope the owners read this and I can tell them thank you from the bottom of my heart I’m so grateful. Please don’t hesitate to buy this!!!!!!

Since receiving this product my dog’s symptoms have actually increased and of course they do not stand by their products and don’t offer a refund. COMPLETE waste of money! Do yourself a favor and save your money and don’t waste it on this crap!

This honey worked better than cough suppressant steroids that the vet gave to help with my dog’s cough. I thought my dog had a collapsed trachea but he actually caught kennel cough because the cough has now turned into reverse sneezes. Either way the cough steroids didn’t work and gave my dog incontinence and diarrhea. This honey has none of those bad effects and he doesn’t mind taking this syrup. Seems to work okay, decreased the frequency of coughs! 4 stars because it doesn’t work completely so don’t expect miracles. Also you need to give 4-5 times a day and I just don’t have time to keep track of that.
