1/4" Closed Cell Backer Rod - 100 ft Roll

Purchased this to put the finishing touches on a garage door trim & molding project. The closed cell backer rod was squeezed in some of the cavities bordering the trim. Cavities, which otherwise, would have required excessive amounts of caulk. Thereafter the cavities were finished with a neat bead of the appropriate caulk. For that purpose, this particular backer rod was perfect. As noted in several other reviews, the backer rod doesn't arrive tightly wound around a spool, but instead stuffed into a box. In that respect, I would suggest that Amazon update the image of the listing on its web-site. I wasn't bothered by it. The item arrived quickly, proved sturdy enough for its intended purpose, and, indeed accomplished its intended purpose perfectly. In comparison with The Home Depot as well as local hardware stores, the price was certainly a positive experience. Make sure of the size (thickness) of backer rod your project(s) will require.

Used this to fill the bottom of several cracks in my asphalt driveway. Doing this saved a lot of asphalt driveway caulk and fit nicely into the cracks. Caulked over it and so far, so good. It will be interesting to see its performance over the winter.

Received the backer rod but the plastic bag it was in was damaged. Fortunately it was one piece of 100 feet so it was all there. Used it all tonight & worked perfectly. I needed another 100 ft to finish the garage but had to buy from another seller tonight because this product had a 14 day delivery! 2 weeks to get it delivered to me! Not going to do that again!

Pretty basic product. It was closed cell and it was foam. The size was consistent enough for my naked eye. I did not measure it out, i did not need 100ft but at this price I would be happy with 50ft. It does come all balled up in a box, but due to the nature of foam it doesn't knot up like headphones or extension cords.

Filled the gap.

Smaller diameter worked well to set with roller tool in 1/4" saw cut. I didn't have difficulty as some described being tangled because it was not on a spool, I shook it lightly and let a breeze carry the excess away from me as it was placed it in the cut. Cost was good for the 100 ft, as I stretched and rolled in place it went about 125'.

Product is good but was advertised as being on a spool. NOT ON A SPOOL! Hastle to use. FALSE ADVERTISING! SHAME ON YOU!

This was perfect for filling in crakes between the sidewalk slaps and also between the crakes on the drive way slaps which are in 4 sections. I'm using Sika Pro Self-Leveling Sealant that I applied over this backer rod once I placed into the cracks. This worked out great!
