This black pond dye is perfect. My half barrel pond has turned very green this year despite having water oxygenating plants and a pump. I treated it twice with no improvement I decided to take a leap of faith & try the pond dye. After a lot of review reading & Google research I found that black is the best colour choice for algae problems. I firstly liked that this dye is safe for birds, animals & pond plants and that it is easy to administer. I roughly worked out water volume and decided to try a capful of dye & gently stirred the ink round the pond with a stick. It was immediately transformed into dark black water (just a little opaque) with a lovely mirror-like reflective surface. I have just checked the pond after heavy rain & it's still perfect. It's much easier to use and more effective than I had hoped. It also looks great & is safe for the birds which use it daily. The water plants seem to be fine as well.

This makes the water black so you can not see the fish or anything else has reduced the alge in the fish pond

Crystal clear water is always good to have in the garden pond but the downside is that the fish were easily seen and picked off by the heron. I opted for the black dye as this suggested a mirror finish and dark looking water. In addition, it can also reduce algae buildup as the light does not penetrate as much. Clear instructions are included based on how much water your pond holds. The results are superb. I highly recommend this product and the results are better than I had hoped for. This product is fantastic. It’s safe for wildlife and hides a multitude of sins within the pond itself. I would highly recommend to anyone to try this… it’s fantastic seeing my pond with a glass-like finish.

It’s ok it keeps the algae away looks good in a water feature,

This made the pond water very clear and a great colour. Using only a few drops it was so easy to use. The bottle is small however will last me a very long time. I've added it to top up every 4-6 weeks and am happy with this.

It does what is says on the tin, it turns water in a water feature blue. Depending how mush you put in will dictate how blue the water will be. Looks affetive, I have tried blue dyeand a black dye and I prefer the blue.

I used 2 small bottles last year in my largish pond. put it in as soon as it started to really warm up, and went the whole season without suffering from the usual plague of blanket weed. the man who looks after my pond's filtration system suggested it. It works! you can still see the fish, and everything looked great. Have purchased the large size this year because its more cost effective.
