Revlon Colorsilk Haircolor, Dark Auburn

Really good dye, had orange and damaged hair due to previous bleaching and this toned it right back to a good medium brown, really big fan of the shade it left me with however i will say it has faded abit already after a few weeks, other then that it's really easy to apply and they give you everything you need!

My hair has had quite a journey this week. I was a dark brown and wanted to get back to blonde. So used a colour remover, followed by bleach, followed by blonde dye, followed by an ash blonde dye, followed by blue toning shampoo. I ended up with blonde roots, orange lengths and grey ends. It was horrific. I’ve seen this product on here before but it was super expensive as it’s not available in the shops here in the UK. It seems to have done down in price massively so this was my last ditch attempt to at least try and even out the mess I’d created. OMG I have never used a product like it. It was a gel consistency rather than more liquid like other brands so didn’t drip everywhere. It didn’t stink like box dye usually does. The development time seems a little short so I left it on for an hour (it had a lot of work to do!) 😆 I wasn’t expecting miracles as my starting point was such a car crash. Just to tone the orange down, darken the roots and had already prepared myself to admit defeat with the ends and just chop those off. Obviously I prayed to the hair gods that I wouldn’t end up being bald. But it ended up being a miracle! It evened out everything! Even the ends! I don’t know how but even the condition is better than when I started this whole process. I wish I was brave enough to share my starting picture so you can understand what this colour has done. I’m so happy I don’t need to cut my hair now and actually love this colour. It’s so natural looking. It this what American hair dye is like generally? What is this witchcraft? I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I love this colour. Ive used the shade 60, twice now and honestly it's as good as the salon colours. Leaving my hair shiny and manageable. It's the best! (Note: the lighting is showing a different shade due to the angle of my camera)

Extremely disappointed with this colour. It definitely isn't ultra light and it definitely isn't ash but it is blonde, yellow blonde! Good points though, despite me leaving it on the roots for longer, the coverage is very even. It smells pleasant and there is no colour to it when applying so it doesn't make a mess when you drop bits. I'm hoping I can correct the colour with a silver shampoo.

I have been using this hair dye for a long time, about 5/6 years. Natural hair color, covers gray hair, does not give a yellow tint and does not burn hair, looks like natural and native.
