Streets of Fire - Collector's Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray [4K UHD]

Great movie. Great music. Perfectly 80’s. The 4K looks and sounds great.

Absolute classic and the only way to watch it correctly

Sometimes we collect movies becos it's good, sometimes it's becos of the memories associated with it; I guess it's a little bit of both here. I first caught this movie in the theater with a bunch of good friends, I still remembered because there were about 20 of us, my largest group of friends that ever went to a movie together. We were hanging out and had a good time. Since then, all of us had gone our separate ways; the theater we watched this movie in, was torn down. But I will always remember that summer. If you are already a fan, welcome to the club; but if you're not yet, go watch the movie. You'll either love it or hate it depending on how the story resonate. I wouldn't say it's a great movie but it touched me. All the 10 songs from the movie soundtrack are good with my favorite being "Tonight is what it means to be young". I bought the OST on cassette tape, and in the later years when MCA re-release it, I got the CD. Over the years, I had the VHS, Laserdisc, VCD, DVD, recently the shout factory 3 disc collector's edition Bluray (I bought from Amazon but I didn't do a review yet, lol), and now finally the 4K Bluray. And it is worthwhile upgrading to 4K, the image is sharp and crisp, the colors are beautiful. Watching it again brought back a lot of memories. The 4K bluray is also a 3 disc collector set, which you can consider if you want the best image currently available. Tonight is what it means to be young; oh what it means to be young in that summer in the 80s!

So I love Streets of fire. The movie is amazing and the 4k transfer is fantastic. I really do recommend it to any fan of the movie with a 4k player. The 4k disk and the newly remastered Blu-ray truly do shine. There's a huge leap in quality over the old scream factory Blu-ray and steelbook. Unfortunately the copy I received as well as the replacement copy were both used and in horrible horrible shape. Fist off they were both re-shrinkwarped, which wrinkled the plastic of the cases. Also the disks had finger prints on them, scratches and the cases had cracks everywhere. The disks were also loose in their cases. This was the same for both copy's I received. One even had a puncture and deep gouge on the front of the case. These are definitely returns that have been re-shrinkwrapped and sold as new. Now i know why there was a flash sale at such a great price. I'm really unsure if I should try a third time. Seems like a waste of time and money. Amazons customer service was great in helping me with the issue. I really do appreciate that. Anyway I'm leaving this review as a warning to anyone who might purchase a copy in the near future. This 4K upgrade is absolutely stunning and it makes the neon colors absolutely pop out and amazing to look at and for the movie itself while the plot and characters aren't particularly deep or well written the bright colors great 80s music and energetic performances during the various concert scenes makes this a must watch for any fan of 80s movies or music I absolutely recommend watching this movie I love just about all of Walter Hills movies

De eerste disc (Blu-Ray HD) speelt correct (regio-vrij) . De tweede en derde disk (blu-ray) falen omdat ze regio code A zijn (Amerika/Japan).

Não sei por quê esse filme não é evidenciado em termos gerais. Um verdadeiro clássico e deveria ser considerado um dos marcos de sua época, na minha opinião.

One of my favorite movie from the 80's, the 4k version has excellent picture and sound for a older movie..
