Ok, so, I plugged this in backwards for a project I was working on. The polarity was written down, but, I had it installed upside down and backwards so I got confused I guess. In any case, you'll find that the machine will kind of pulsate. Like, I had fans, hard drives, computer, etc all tied to this same 12V system, and they all pulsated every half second, doing nothing, of course. Upon reversing the polarity back to the intended poles, the magic white smoke began pouring out of this little unit. After clearing the air with open windows, I proceeded to install the second one of the two pack with the correct polarity. The rest is history. So what did we learn? I learned I'm a dunce, and I'm glad it was a two pack.
