Unexpected Find
I had recently gone through several headphones, in as many weeks, all promising more than they delivered, so I expected this pair to be no different. I was wrong. This review is based on the fact that I am female with average sized ears. I use them for power walking and jogging. I also sweat a lot. They are used almost every day - heavy use. Visual They look and feel of good quality and are well made. The cord is robust and the ends for connection are rigid, a necessity for an active wearer. Fit They come with several in-ear fittings. I was able to find a set that are a perfect fit for me. This is important as they fit like earplugs and form a seal, so too big and it is uncomfortable, but too small and no seal is formed. When well fitted, it blocks out sound like a pair of earplugs (NRR 20-25 DB), that is when no music is playing. However, because they fit like earplugs, if you speak or sing you get that horrible internal sound of your voice - stick your fingers in your ear and speak to see what I mean. To put them in takes a little getting used to as you have to hold the ear piece in your ear and then rotate forward until it sits in the ear like a hearing aid with the wire facing up and forward. The wire is memory, so can be shaped to hang of the earlobe for added stability. It took me about a week of doing it every day to get used to it. Now I can do it in no time at all and it STAYS PUT! (Note - vigorous movement of the head makes it seem loose, but wearing a skull or baseball cap or sweatband fixes this minor irritation and the headphones never actually came out). Comfort I wear glasses, so the wire sits on the arms. However, I have not had any ear pain, like I normally would with this type of ear hanging sports headphone. I also have none of the transmission of sound through the wiring when it rubs on my clothing. Sound Quality When I first got them, I did feel the sound was not as loud as my old pair, but it was not a problem. Now that I have had them a few weeks and they are 'burnt in' (I think that is the term), the sound is much better. In fact, the bass is quite brilliant. Another noteworthy feature is that the difference between track volumes is no longer noticeable. I used to have to constantly adjust volume between tracks; some were too loud others too low. I will admit that as the headphones are in ear, the volume may initially seem lower than the outer ear variety, which I was used to. However, that close to my eardrums, I do not want anything too loud or capable of loud bursts as this could prove painful. Overall, I am very happy and I considering another pair as backup, because it is incredibly difficult to find a sports pair that work. Of course should they breakdown before their one year guarantee, I will report back.

The first earbuds that actually fit me
My problem..I have small ear canals. Having used numerous earbuds from the 1980s it has been an neverending struggle to find ones that will have a good sound production and will stay in my ears without continuously slipping out. The good enough sound quality has been quite easy to fulfill with the market selection of earbuds but it has been truly a quest for the nonexistant to find earbuds that once adjusted, stay in without slowly slipping out of my ears. The problem is exaggerated during any physical movement, let it be walking on street or bicycling. I won't even go to the epic failure of my past year's earbuds. You know the designs from 1980-2000s.. none seemed as if they were designed to stick in my ears.. one thing was sure, my ears are not the standard size! I should probably mention though, that my last earbuds before purchasing Meelectronics M6s were my Samsung mobile's earbuds. The same old problem, I can sort of fit them with the smallest rounded tips but they start to slide out fairly quickly. Even when sitting on a public transportation. The cable friction on my jacket collar and wire routing through clothing, and the listening device weight all produce a combo of factors that drag the earbuds of any manufacture from my ears. That is...until I went on a once-again desperate internet search of what's out there for us small ear canal freaks. Must I really resort to children's Hello Kitty earbuds? Then I saw a review on Meelectronics M6s. Someone said they fit his/her ears prefectly when no other earbuds would. I clinged to it. I followed the hot trail, checked the manufacturer website and knew I was onto something. The M6s actually looked anatomically designed. The problem of finding them was finally solved by Amazon.co.uk. I was excited to say the least. I couldn't wait for try them! So then the day came, they arrived and I got to fondle and try them. It's been a love story since.. Simply put: they fit in my ear canals perfectly and stay there. The sensation of clear high quality sound finally filled my head and didn't fade with the sliding off if the earbuds. I can't really explain how these moderately priced earbuds made my listening experience so much more pleasurable as sounds mean a world to me. One thing I should probably mention is, that the come with various earbud tips. So these are not just for my freak ears, the general design is aimed at anyone needing earbuds that fit and stay on. What really make the M6s good in my experience is: - good quality sound. The fitting inside ear canal is everything in earbuds. If the fit is poor no good sound can be expected. M6s fit so well and I feel the lows to the highs. - the earbud tips are curved as seem to be my ear canals. When I insert them the really follow and fill the earcanal with little effort. Im no doctor but it would seem that anatomically speaking we all have the same design in our canals and the variation is in sizes and lengths? - the earbud frames and the attached wiring curve around the top part of your ear helixes preventing the drag from below. For physical excercise and movement, this is a very smart design feature. - the cabling is robust, it's slightly thicker wiring than what is the norm. This has given me trust that the quite common pull from the device below the earbuds won't easily break anything. - small but great feature, there's a movable clip on the wiring to lock the cable in position and prevent the pull from the device. The thing is, clips are not too common in earbuds and this little thing solves a frequent problem. - the transparent color of this particular model is pleasing to me, I don't get satisfaction from black stuff hanging from my ears and this color scheme sort of melts in better without looking all security oriented. - low profile hard eva case that will protect your M6s and you can fit it anywhere. So there you have it. I quess I could just say.. I fully recommend them for anyone looking for earbuds that really fit and stay on during a physical excercise :)

Can be used with motorcycle helmets!!
I have been looking for a set of ear buds that will work with a motorcycle helmet for a while now. These looked like they had a good chance of staying put while donning my full face. I just came back from a 50mile ride using these buds, I'm well pleased with their performance. Music was clear and sharp well over 70mph, they are probably the best ear-buds I have ever had. They reduced the wind and engine noise down to a whisper, this did have an effect on speed perception, well I got a shock to see how fast I was going at one point. I did find it fiddly to put on the first time, till I read the instructions, using the two handed method they're a doddle to put on. Getting a helmet on top of them is helped by the over ear design as it helps hold them in place. The big surprise was how low profile they are, there the biggest buds I have, yet stick out the least, holding a hand the the side of the head wont push them in any further. For the price they are great, the only downsides are: a little uncomfortable (not used to in-ear )and a annoying click on the right bud if its squeezed just the wrong way, the other is fine. So if you like riding 500cc bikes through the twisty back roads of the Scottish Borders to the music of rock gods these nifty ear-buds might be just what your looking for. Dave Oh, and they come with a carry case.

BRILLIANT ALL ROUND SOUND - VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
*ANOTHER QUALITY MEE PRODUCT* I bought these I.E.M's for use in the studio & on stage, after being recomended them by a friend and for listening to music on a mp3 player. Nice packaging - which came with extra ear buds, so you can use the size suitable for your ears. they even come with instructions on how to wear them correctly! They also included a strong zipped carry box - to store the I.E.M.s (& extra ear buds) when not in use. They fit perfet and are instantly comfy to wear. The signal is fantastic! With a nice clean, warm over all response. (Which is as good as the m6 pro version.) The signal is crisp and clear - on the top end , mid range and bottom end. a nice flat response - so I could hear songs how they were meant to sound like, when recorded. (simular to listening through a pair of BEYERDYNAMIC DT100's) I've used them in band practice and i was blown away with the quality! Brilliant when it comes to sound isolation - they were perfect for the job and cant wait to test them on stage. I've also been listening to music on a mp3 player and the sound is againt fantastic. I am really pleased with these I.E.M's. over all they are - *Brilliant ! *Great over-all sound. *Comfy to wear & dont keep falling out. *A bargain- great price! The only SLIGHT problem is the length of the cable- its perfect for use with a mp3 player in your pocket - or attatched to wireless device. But not long enough to use in the studio as monitors when recording . I will be buying more of these - no question! I would highly recomend any one buy these. whether its just for listening to your mp3 player (or cassettes on your walkman) - or for "profesional" use as a musician Definitely a quality product !

Good, but not fantastic
The product is built very well, no rattles or such thing at all. The cable is very good and probably the best cable on any in-ear headphone that i have ever auditioned. So is it all good? Well..no. The fit is very comfortable but it is very hard to place right in your ear. If it sits just a litle bit wrong the sound will be terrible. And there is another problem with the fit aswell. The metal cord that is supposed to help a steady fit is to stiff to actually do something good at all. What i did was to cut it of just leaving the great cable on its own. This gives a much better and more comfortable fit. How does it sound? Well it has alot of bass and a overall warm tone to it. But the mids and the highs suffer clarity. The highs is what bothers me at most..They are just not good enough for comcortable listening. It is very hasrh and lacks clarity which makes it sound bad. Overall the comfort is good when you cut of the metal cord and the sound should do it for the masses. But if you are looking for something that makes your uncompressed music sound great and if you primarily looking for a in-ear to cary you away during long travels or commuting to work..There are better alternatives.

Good quality for the price
Bought these as a cheap experiment for onstage monitoring. Previously i had used sennheiser CX-xxx line in-ears and found the cable kept catching on my clothes pulling them out. Tried these for the over ear design, and professional appearance. I am IMPRESSED! - These sound really good, especially after a couple of weeks of use they have seemed to have opened up a little bit. Sound quality is clear, with plenty of bass. For iPod use, can't fault them, they sound good and are very comfortable. On stage, which is where i use them most, they provide clear monitoring, and with the cable sleeve you can have the cables tight around your head then running down your back. I forget they are even in, no pain or discomfort when moving around, or when getting a bit sweaty they dont budge! They are discreet too, so playing in churches people rarely even notice I am using them. Durability wise they feel solid, have used them for a couple of months and the connections are all still 100%, the wrap on the cable around the ear is flexible and is showing no sign of wear. The only gripe i have is the cable is quite plasticy, so doesn't straighten. When they are wound into the case they come out quite bent and tangled, but it's not a problem if you are running them under a shirt. (or if you dont care that they dont run straight down your back) For £20 I honestly cannot fault them at all. Will definitely replace if they go missing, or break.

Good sound, terrible issues I've never experienced with any other headphone
I recently purchased the M6 sport for gym use. I had the Sennheiser CX 3.00 (latest one) before that and absolutely loved the comfort and sound quality for the price. Unfortunately the Sennheisers gave up rather quickly (4-5 months). So I read reviews about good gym IEMs and got these. First off sound quality is OK, the Sennheisers were much better in terms of soundstage and clarity, but I could have probably gotten used to the M6. My main issues with these is that I can't seem to get a proper fit. I've tried all the supplied eartips (yeah yeah I've watched the tutorial that is basically useless, too. This is for you, MEE customer support.), and when I actually do get a proper seal, It feels like this uncomfortable sort of "vacuum" and the sound nearly disappears - imagine playing music on your speakers in a room, getting out of it and closing the door - this is what it sounds like. With all my other headphones I've always used the standard (medium size) tips and have had no issues. When I do somehow get these to stay in properly and start training, things like moving my jaw or smiling drastically change the sound, which is incredibly annoying. You can also sometimes hear the drivers crackling, which makes these headphones feel like something you'd buy from the $1 store. When I go to the gym, I usually sweat A LOT, and these are the first headphones which actually act as a total sweat magnet. After 15 minutes of running I have sweat in both my ear canals, which has never happened with any other headphone I've owned. I've also had other over-the-ear headphones (Vsonic GR-06) which were excellent and did not have any of the issues I described.

A surprising find
I was going to replace my Phillips headphones or possibly go for some bluetooth in-ear headphones, but I don't think they are quite there yet. I was very dubious of an unheard of brand, but they got good reviews, so I gave them a try. They are just what I was looking for. A good sports heaphone with great sound and good value for money. Well, they are superb at sticking in your ear whilst running. Get the right ear plug (plenty to choose from, some a bit weird looking, but horses for courses) and these little buggers need prising out of your ear, they certainly don't slip even when sweating! The sound is very good. I thought they were a bit tinny at first, but in comparison they just produce an extremely clear sound with good mid & bass. Very impressed with the sound. Wasn't sure of the bend to fit wrap round the top of your ear. Once you get used to that it works a treat. Lets see how durable that is. Tangle free wires are good too. They fit so snug to the contour of your ear that you can hardly hear much externally even without any music playing (good for the train). Only had them a couple of weeks and I'm impressed so far. Quality product with a neat carry case. A surprising find.
