Great sounding microphone with many uses due to it’s multiple options of pickup patterns and built in variable HPF. This is a perfect microphone for someone who is serious about recording quality but also doesn’t want to amass an unnecessarily large collection of microphones. It can even be used as a figure of 8 mic to be combined with another mic for M/S stereo recordings. It comes in a quality flight case with some accessories such as a pop filter and stand. Really great mic. A pleasure to use.

Having listened to a lot of mic reviews and comparisons, I needed a new mic that captured a lot of detail for vocal and instruments, and this mic captures transients beautifully. It captures a very true representation. My vocals haven't sounded so good. Comes with great packaging.

A very clear and clean mic, quite bright sounding and not as heavy as other mics like a U87, this mic is more for if you want vocals up front, on top of the music

Bought this mic to take my voice over work to a more pro level. Having used Rode NT1 & Rode K2, I was just blown away by the sound quality of this mic. If you have a decent preamp and/or audio interface, this mic can do wonders for you in both voiceover and vocals work. It has many in built patterns like cardioid, hypercardioid etc. for your choosing. It produces a nice flat sound which gives you a lot of room while editing in the digital w/s. You can use this for voiceover, vocals, instruments and anything and everything. I would highly recommend buying this product as an all-in-one microphone.

Todo sellado y en orden unicamente no me gusto como lo enviaron en una sola bolsa vino suelto el producto , no entiendo por que no lo pusieron en una caja como normalmente mandan otras cosas mas sencillas y economicas por ese motivo no viene tan protejido y por eso llego con unos pequeños golpes la maleta

I'm so glad I got this mic, it is amazingly versatile and great sounding (the polar pattern options are really useful). On vocals and acoustic guitar, it's perfect. I'm sure you could do more with it.. sound is pretty hyped and bright .. i haven't used the XLS but I'm guessing it's better for orchestral instruments/piano/bass etc. and stereo micing
