So useful for a variety of diy and crafts where you need to stick fabric! I used it to repair the hem of roller blinds which holds the bottom bar in place and had come unstuck , and attatched braid trim to give it a smarter finished look! Perfect result and easy to do as the glue comes with a small brush inside the lid!

This glue reminds me of my childhood, my families business always had bottles of this stuff for working with card and paper. I’m sure anybody who’s used this particular glue will be familiar with the smell of it, although I don’t know where it’s my senses that have dulled, but this doesn’t seem to have anywhere near the offensive fishy smell that I remember so vividly. It’s a really great glue for crafting, it has so many different uses when working with all sorts of materials and if you don’t have it in your craft box, you probably should rectify this. For me, I was pondering how I could mask parts of a 3D printed object where I do a lot of post processing, mainly involving using SLA resin to coat my FDM parts so that I can get a smooth finish. I considered PVA glue (AKA school glue!) but decided against that as it can dry very hard and It would probably be more work removing that than it would have been not masking. Suddenly copydex sprang into my head, I remember that when not bonded to another surface, it actually removes very easily, it’s almost like a bubblegum, and this would allow me to cover the sensitive areas and then perform the finishing steps before removing the covering of glue. It works brilliantly, and I know from past experience that using it for its intended purpose it’s a great all round glue, especially if dealing with bonding different types of surface.

In our church we always seem to need glue for kids crafts. We have used PVA and other glues, but Copydex is by far the neatest and best. It sticks paper and card almost immediately, and excess glue can be rubbed off with the finger straight away, as it quickly takes the consistency of small dry peelings. It can be used to stick sequins and other small glitter shapes to card etc. The glue dries fast and is flexible when dry, which means it lasts longer than other glues in craft making (eg Glue gun and wood glue etc). If you abuse the brush inside the lid it quickly widens into a kind of unwieldy, bristly mess. Just use it gently, replace the lid straight away and it will last quite a long time. The glue is quite expensive, (and smells like ammonia-on-herring) but far less is required than you would imagine. Just buy a jar and keep it around. You will reach for it more often than you think!
