There is Still No Better Alternative to Old Reliable
I purchased my first Switchbot Bot back in 2021 so that I could automate my garage door (I have a camera in the garage to verify if it is up or down, and use the bot on either the push button in the garage or a space remote). It worked perfectly for this function at all three of my rental houses since then, allowing me to automate something that is typically not included with the rental, while easily removing it when I leave. Since I have a two door garage setup now, I purchased an extra bot to automate both doors, since it was simply the most cost effective, reliable way to do this as compared to doing wiring, installing other apps, or some other invasive install that I would have to remove the next time I move (I am in the military, so frequent moves are a way of life). It's a no-brainer since I already have a Switchbot Hub.

Great value!
All I can say about these switch bots is WOW! When I changed security companies my Z wave light controls stop working. So, I had no way of automatically turning my lights on and off. I had to manually turn them on at night and off at daybreak. I was just about to hire an electrician to rewire my light switch and I saw the switch bots on Amazon. I had no idea that something like this was out there and boy! what a remarkable device. It turns my lights on and off through the free phone app. I highly recommend this device!

Reliable for almost 5 years
Bought my first one in August 2021 and it stopped working today in January 2026. The arm stopped actuating even after battery replacements and firmware updates. I guess that's a good enough long run being used almost everyday. I put this on my Breville Barista Express and had it on a daily schedule (except for when we're traveling). It's mostly reliable and easy to debug when there is a problem. It's very quiet and doesn't burn through batteries. I like the ability to program this button for my non-automated machine so I'm repurchasing.

SwitchBot pressing buttons inside my R2D2
Bought two of these SwitchBot fingerbots - one of which was included in the combo pack with the SwitchBot Hub Mini required to use amazon alexa. Got all of this because had two buttons - the main power button & an AC power button - that had to be pushed one after another on a Power Bank inside a starwars HD-R2D2 droid that I did not want to open up all the time when I wanted to turn it on and off. SwitchBot works great & presses quickly when you finally figure out how to get the results that you want. Great with bluetooth connecting to the switchbot app. But for full versatility, also get the SwitchBot Hub Mini to give audio verbal commands. Works great if you then connect to Google because could use my Google Nest Mini to verbally give commands to "Turn On R2D2" and later to "Turn Off R2D2" - where google solved the trick where had to issue two commands in a single command automation to have two separate SwitchBot fingerbots to each separately one after another to first press the power button & then second press the AC button to then power up the AC power adapter plugged into the power bank to "Turn On R2D2". However, when using Alexa on an Amazon Echo, could not combine commands for the two fingerbots to have each specifically press the two different separate buttons in a single alexa command routine because the routine would only activate only one fingerbot to do both presses on only one button. Oh well, gotta do two separate alexa audio commands if using Amazon Alexa. Another minor issue was I had to place each fingerbot at an angle because each button presser did not press deep enough on the buttons - but fortunately there were the extra double-sided 3M mounting tape pieces to help securely tilt/angle each fingerbot to be able to actually press each button. Nonetheless, this is a wonderful worthwhile solution to the problem of how to remotely press buttons inside an enclosed space that you do not want to always open up. Very much worth paying for. And fortunately the battery is replaceable. Thanks So Much to both SwitchBot & Amazon for this remote pushbutton technology.

Best little robot
Been wanting this little robot for a while I finally committed and no regrets. My ceiling fan is not smart and my house has old wiring. My ceiling fan comes with a remote and I stuck this little guy on it just right and now I can turn my ceiling fan on with my voice or my phone from anywhere. I will be getting more. The SwitchBot app makes setup quick and easy, the bot is quiet and going strong after a month of use. Best price I’ve found to make a switch or device smart. Highly recommend!

Simple Automation Solution
Works as you think it would. It has been great to create some automations to turn my lights on and off in different conditions. This is such a simple solution for automating switches that involves minimal knowledge and no electrical work which is a plus.

NOT remote!
See below for my original review. I originally left a 1 star review as I felt the item title and listing did not accurately depict that this is not a fully "smart" object on it's own. It does allow you to operate the device within bluetooth range, but you can not operate it fully remotely, without either an additional device from the company or building your own and using their API. So rather than $30, you will need to spend $95 (at current prices on Amazon) to remotely push a button when away from home (or wherever else you are using the switchbot). Customer service reached out to me after seeing the original review and offered to send me, free of charge, the device that turns this into a truly remote button pusher. I received it promptly, set up was easy, and it works smoothly and as expected. The customer service rep also said they had made some changes to the listing to try making it a little more clear what this device can and can't do. I still think it's a bit confusing, and again, am disappointed the company does not make the Switchbot fully remote from the start, again, especially considering you can get smart outlets and lightbulbs that are fully remote, integrate with homekit/etc. for $10 or even less (vs. $95). I hope they can update this product in the future so that 2 devices are not needed to do what these other devices can do in just 1 device. ___ I assumed this would be like any other “smart” item where you can control the device from the app, wherever you are. Not so. This item should really be called “Bluetooth button pusher,” not smart button pusher. It ONLY works via Bluetooth. Meaning, it can only operate when you are in the vicinity of the device. If you are looking for something to push or switch a button remotely (in my use case- turning on a PC while away from home), as I imagine most folks who purchase this are- you’re out of luck. Turns out you must separately buy a $40 hub to enable that functionality. Or if you’re handy, you can program your own hub with a raspberry pi. But even that turns what should’ve been a simple, works right out of the package purchase into something a lot more time intensive. “Smart” lightbulbs, smart outlets, etc. are $10 these days and operate *truly* remotely out of the box. SwitchBot has no excuse for not doing the same for this device, and it comes off as a bait and switch by not being clear that this is merely a Bluetooth device, and forcing you to pay a total of $70 for the functionality you expected with the original purchase.

You can turn anything smart in a few minutes
I have used a lot of smart devices and i love being able to control things with my app or my google assistant and siri. But usually that means purchasing new products that are smart such as new light bulbs, locks, etc. And that can get expensive. So i happened upon the switchbot device on a youtube channel and thought this would be a perfect solution for making my lights in my home smart without having to change every bulb or risk electrocuting myself changing the light switches. So I purchased this with high hopes. And for the most part I am satisfied. The bots do work and can push buttons or turn on switches. PROS - Turns dumb products smart - Can control the bots with their app anywhere if you have the hub - Works with voice assistants like google home/assistant, siri and alexa. - Doesn't require changing existing fixtures or devices. - The stickers are very strong! - They provide extra stickers. - Relatively small. - The hub doesn't have to be connected to your router. It just plugs into your wall. - Works with ifft app - You can still use your light switch or any button manually with this switchbot on it. - Customer support is very responsive and helpful. I experienced some minor issues that I mentioned in this review and they reached out to help me fix it. It was a firmware update. They seem very keen on making their customers happy and making the best product they can. CONS - The physical set up can be a little tricky. The app walks you through the physical set up and there is some trial and error in terms of where you stick the bot. Sometimes i had to pry it off because the position wasn't right or my light switch was too stiff. - The connection to the hub was hit or miss. I would literally have the switchbot right near the hub and it wouldn't recognize the hub. But maybe a few minutes later it would pick it up. This was very weird. - The device is small but it can look a little weird on your light switch. - So if you plan to use this on a light switch and you have multiple switches that control that same light, if someone happens to hit another switch, it may throw off your switchbox configuration. Let's say you had your switchbox set to push the the switch to turn on. If someone happens to use another switch to turn on that same light. You may now need to go in the app and change the on configuration to pull to turn on. I found this out when I was telling my device to turn on but realized someone in my house had used another switch to turn it on. So keep that in mind. This is a non factor if you have one switch that controls turning on a given light. - Connecting to the cloud services was hit or miss. You need to turn on the cloud services to use siri, google home or alexa. But when i would try to turn this feature on, it would say I'm not connected to the hub even when i was literally near it. So I would have to wait for the app to connect to the hub and then eventually I could turn on cloud services. Despite these cons, I still purchased more of these devices. Because they still work. If they could partner with Yolink to use their long range technology this device would be perfect. Either way, I still enjoy this product and recommend for people that want to make dumb devices smart easily and quickly. It will save you tons of money in that way!
