Making Silver Jewellery

I love this book already and I haven't even read it. Being so enthusiastic about wanting to learn, I delivered next day and purchased around 8pm. It arrived by 10am this morning much to my surprise so thank you for the quick delivery. About the book: I haven't even read it yet but i'm so excited to. The book is a perfect size and design. It's good to hold, soft back so enables quick flick and read (not sure if i'm sounding odd here, but I personally love a book that feels good to hold!) the pictures are very clear and also lovely photography, and it's a complete beginners break-down and step by step guide of each process involved in silversmithing. I've tried to find the best educational textbook type of jewellery book, and this does it for me. Wanting to step into many worlds of craft and feeling very overwhelmed with all the information needed to learn, i'm thrilled with the very clear and concise instructions inside this!

Lovely book, good instructions ,perfect for beginners or advanced.

Very satisfying and easy to follow. 4 stars only because I felt like it could have contained a bit more - but perhaps less is more in this case? I just felt it came to an end too soon... lots of questions that I would have wanted addressed. Nevertheless, a GREAT book that instructs well and includes the lesser used/more basic skills which suits me. Very useful. Good pictures, too.

I know next to nothing about working with metal to make jewellery. I am a glass fused and I tend to buy silver findings for my own glass cabochons. Having read this book, I want to try designing and making my own. The step by step instructions and the diagrams make it look easy. So far I have grasped the piercing saw, next soldering! I can't recommend this book highly enough

An excellent book for people starting working with silver. The explanations are comprehensive and easy to follow. The photos are well chosen and help visualise the techniques. I really appreciated the ideas for building on the basic techniques, it have me more ideas.🌝

This book arrived in very good time and in excellent condition and I highly recommend the seller. The book is of great help to beginners, with clear instructions and illustrations but also contains tips and techniques that would interest more experienced jewellers.

This was the first book I got when taking up jewellery making. Great book for beginners. Gives good concise advice and tips and covers what you need to get started with various methods. I've progressed now but this was really good to get me going and refer back to.

Good starter book ,very easy to understand and work with ,enjoyed how it flowed with easy to understand style .

This was a surprise, the content and info is second to none, clever step by step and tips along the way. I’ve made a couple of pieces and am very pleased with the results, I highly recommend this book!

This is a great book and very helpful

Dieses Buch ist der perfekte Begleiter durch eine lange erste Zeit des Silberschmiedens. Es wird (in englischer Sprache) wirklich alles genau erklärt, was man braucht. Löten, Fusen, Fold-Forming, das Setzen von Steinen, Designüberlegungen, Keum-Boo,... alles drin! Nicht zu sehr in die Tiefe gehend, dass der Anfänger gleich wieder abgeschreckt wird, aber ausreichend detailliert, um erfolgreich die ersten Versuche in dieser Richtung zu starten. Wenn mich früher jemand nach einem guten Hobby-Anfänger-Buch gefragt hat, wusste ich nie so recht, was ich sagen sollte. Alles was ich kenne, ist entweder viel zu detailliert (weil für die Goldschmiede-Ausbildung konzipiert) oder zu oberflächlich. Dieses Buch empfinde ich als perfekt für den Anfang und WEIT darüber hinaus! Der Preis ist unschlagbar. Ich werde es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Kaufen, kaufen, kaufen!!!!!
