OLESILK Mulberry Silk Bonnet for Sleeping Women, Real Silk, Not Satin Pink

Loving this hair cap! After sleeping in it for a few nights, here are my favorite things about it: -Easily adjustable, so it's less likely to slip off in the middle of the night -A mix of modal/silk lining so it has a little more grip on your head (compared to all-satin hair caps) -Super comfortable and protective -The Ocean blue color is beeeautiful and vivid like the pics -Been waking up with softer, bouncier hair (Bonus: it's been great for helping prevent bed-head frizz in the mornings!) Things I can't speak on yet: -Washability (though it seems to be of good quality materials that will hold up well) Highly recommend this silk cap especially for frizz-prone, curly hair!

So comfortable! Stays in place. I got the medium as I have shorter hair, a little longer than chin length. The adjustable elastic is perfect, keeps it in place without being too tight. I have a short forehead so the small band is perfect. I have noticed a huge difference between this one and my satin bonnets. My hair feels so much softer in the morning. I will definitely be getting a few more and getting some for my girls.

So- this is a lightweight (cotton?) knit sleeping cap on the outside with a silk liner. I have fine hair and wanted protection from my CPAP machine since the straps wreck havoc on my hair. However my CPAP straps seemed to be the only things keeping the cap on my head, as it slides off up to the straps by the time I wake up. Although this cap has an adjustable elastic band built in, it doesn’t stay on well with natural sleep movement. When it does stay on (somewhat), it makes my head sweat more than usual at night, which might make me toss and turn more. The jury’s still out on that. Anyway, with it mostly on all night, when I get up, my hair is flattened and droopy. However, the cap does air-dry nicely (I just invert it over a bottle on my dresser). Also, when it stays on, my hair does feel softer and sheds less— and is protected from my CPAP straps. The silk liner works. Aesthetic-wise, the cap doesn’t look like an old-time night cap from days gone by like the storybook imagery of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’. However, maybe those people knew what they were doing…?! Maybe their old style stayed on better? So my conclusion is that this cap would be good to wear if you tend to get cold at night and could use the additional heat. It’s nice for your hair if you can find a way to keep it on at night and if your head tends to sweat at night, this hat will probably make it worse. So hopefully, you won’t mind blowing your hair out in the morning, (which resulting heat damage might defeat the gains made from wearing it in the first place?) I think people with “big hair” might just find this cap to be a dream— as I’m guessing it would probably stay on their hair better. But for people with fine, straight hair like me, there are probably designs that would work better even if they do look more old fashioned…? I don’t know for sure as this was my first time with a hair cap at night. So- yes, this seems to protect your hair when it stays on, if you can get used to it. Perhaps I need to keep trying so I get more used to it? But maybe just using a silk pillowcase and silk scrunchies would be more comfortable…? So far, I think so. So yes— this cap does what they claim and the real silk does wonderful things for your hair. However, the outer knit layer might make it too heavy to stay on fine, straight hair, and too hot for (post menopausal) people who already run a little hot at night.

I don’t have curly hair. I have 2/3rd white hairs that are a different texture from my original straight silky smooth hair of my youth. I’m losing hair mostly because my hair is breaking like crazy. I bought silk pillows, which helped, but still continued to show breakage. I bought this and a couple other types of “silk only” bonnets. This one was by far the best. Most comfortable, stayed on and would keep my hair so much smoother and small enough that my hair has beautiful waves. One of them… though cuter was comfortable, but after one correct washing, the elastic twisted. Will be buying another.

This is really great for keeping my hair soft and not creating frizz overnight, however it does not stay on. It slips off, is not easy to put on and contain hair, and needs constant adjusting. I will purchase another silk hair bonnet, but not this one.

Excellent silk bonnet. Very soft, very light weight. Couldn’t feel it at all when I was sleeping and it stayed on all night. I like that there is no elastic in the front that might leave a mark on my forehead the following morning. Fast shipping, got here a day earlier than expected so that was great.
