Dread Head HQ Dread Comb

I bought a comb before this one that was like $4 , yeah I know that was idiotic . But I had my locs for 6 months (Took em out because of inconsistent technicians and was way too tender headed) . When I started using this comb , my fingers (cuticles) stopped hurting immediately . I didn’t even have to use finger caps to finish . I started 4/2/23 @ around 5pm , and I finished 4/8/23 before work (was late because I had to celebrate this victory) . I do not have experience with locs prior to having them . I’m mixed black/white/Jamaican and I took them out because I felt my texture was too troublesome for me to maintain them in my own opinion (no one else’s ) . Not too sure what my hair type is but after combing them out with this comb , my hair texture improved . My curls are more defined again ! I did lose thickness and length in my hair but I know it will grow back in no time . If you need to remove your locs (absolutely nothing wrong with that) I suggest you get this comb . I still have it even though I don’t need it anymore . Made the deed a lot better and I maintained a great amount of hair because I did it myself !! 😉😍 First pic is with locs , second is a month ago when I finished .

This comb helped me tremendously when I was combing out my locs. The metal teeth are strong enough to not bend/break like the rat tail combs were while not ripping out my hair more than I was already doing by combing out my locs. I loved the handle which was easy to hold and not cause my hand to cramp.

Used this product with my original set of dreads 10 years ago, but couldn't find my original so I ordered a new one. Main difference is the handle. The molded grey middle part had a rough spot that was pokey and irritated my hand and thumb while using. Used a finger nail clipper and nail file to take it down and it worked. The teeth bend a bit here and there but easily moved back into position. Value was good for the price.

Due to mental health issues, my hip length hair had been matted for about a year. I was just about at the point of shaving it and buying a wig, but decided to try one last time with this comb. It took over 8 hours and I definitely lost some hair, but my father was able to completely comb my hair that was matted to the scalp out. Wetting the hair and using a detangling conditioner was also key. Thank you so much for helping me on my healing journey ❤️

This comb is the most sturdy, well built, perfect tool for creating or taking down dreadlocs. I never knew how inferior my previous comb was until I was recommended to buy this one and the value for the price was out of this world. I’d be willing to bet that this is the best dread comb on the market.

Strong and easy to use. Thought my dreads were stuck in my hair and I would have to cut them out till I purchased this product.

Did not work for me. I've had it for a few years and barely use it. Rat tail comb works better in my opinion

So, I actually use this item to groom angora rabbits, but I must say its the best comb I have ever used. Far far better than those combs specifically made for the task of rabbit grooming. Sturdy, quite well made, and I am able to get an excellent grip on the handle when working out difficult matting in their fur. Best of all, I am able to groom out their loose wool without causing any pain. I will be buying a second one soon!
