Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy (Hairy Maclary and Friends)

Has stood the test of time! My children loved this series of books, now my grand-daughter is loving them too. Beautifully written to get the attention of a toddler, lots of repetition, which this age loves. Lots of gorgeous illustrations with brilliant action in them. We will slowly get the whole series, including ScarFace Claw, who all the dogs are terrified of....

My daughter absolutely loves these books! Simple story line but so much fun to read…..and of course in a Scottish accent too!

Good book granddaughter will enjoy it

Great book, just as I remember it from my childhood. Although I hadn't realised it was going to be pocket size so the size was a bit of a shock. My baby still loves the story so it doesn't really matter!

We really enjoy reading this fun and silly story with its sweet illustrations. Each dog is brought to life and drawn with such character - my toddler absolutely loves them. I particularly like how strong and well made the hardback book is as it stands up well to a two year old's roughness

I originally read this series of books to my children when they were small, even buying my son a stuffed dog we called 'Hercules Morse'. Twenty years later he has made it out of the loft (the dog, not my son) and is now being loved back to life by my Granddaughter. The board book version is ideal for unsympathetic hands... we'll look to progress to paper in the next twelve months or so.
