Clarks Women's Faraway Fell Flat

These don't look like the picture. They aren't cute shoes in my opinion, I got the brown pair, but they are comfortable and can be worn without socks. After an initial breaking in period, I could wear them without my feet blistering. I can slip into them without having to buckle them every time too which is a bonus. They really aren't well cushioned, but they are great for traveling and walking long distances. The more I wear them, the more comfortable they become and the better the leather looks. They never cause my feet to stink either even when I wear them sockless in the summer. I do wear them with socks as well and they don't stretch out.

I recommend this particular style of Clark's shoe for solid comfort in a casual shoe without it being relentlessly athletic.At first I thought they might not offer enough support, but I've been wearing them about a week, and I have found them to feel cool and comfortable all day.

I normally wear 8.5-9 (wide), and was nervous about the sizing of these shoes. I'm glad I went with the 8.5, because the length was absolutely perfect, and just need a little bit of stretching at the top of the toe cover to fit comfortably on my hobbit feet.I wore a thick pair of socks and used the hair dryer to heat that area off and on, until the small area was stretched just right. I will be ordering more of these shoes in different colors, and will stick with the 8.5 size and do a little home stretching.Really cute shoes, had lots of compliments and questions about them already. Super comfortable, been wearing them around the house, with and without socks and done quite a bit of walking. My family is happy that I've replaced my sloppy hippy shoes, and I'm happy because they feel just as good and look quite a bit classier. Wish I could upload a picture, they really are more feminine than they look in the image.

I like the way it fits but the comfort isn't what I expected. There is no support and having them on all day hurts my feet. Unlike other Clark's I have there is no padding for comfort. Still a cute shoe and I ware them anyway.

I tried on a pair of these in a shoe store in 8.5 and they were a little big,so I ordered an 8. They felt exactly like the 8.5's! But I wanted them to change into at work when my regular shoes were uncomfortable. They suit the bill for that, lightweight, nice and cushiony on the hard floor, but not clunky. They are for someone who wants to be closer to barefoot, who has a light footstep. I would not recommend them for someone who wants arch support or sturdy cushioning. They feel like slippers. Next time I will order a 7.5. I would like to buy another pair of these in the future.

Absolutely love the shoes, but the sole wore out and I got a hole near the seam/big toe within a couple of months of walking 1-2 miles on sidewalk. Seems kind of pricy for such limited durability.

Tried them on and they fit perfect out of the box! Fit my narrow ankle and wider toe area. They seem to run 1/2 small, (or maybe fit perfect and other shoes aren't sized right?) I normally wear a 9 because the foot bed is always slightly too short in an 8 1/2, but I have to deal with ankle slippage. These are nice and roomy in the toe and hug my ankle perfect. They feel like ballet slippers. I have never had a pair of shoes fit so well. Here's to hoping they don't stretch out too much!

THE LOOK: The shoe is pretty cute in person. It's definitely a quirky look - A bit boxy on the outer sole - But cute and rounded on top + not clunky. The beeswax color is much darker in person than in the online photo, but is still pretty nice. THE FIT: Unfortunately, the shoe squeezed the front of my foot (ball of toes and across the top) very uncomfortably. Also, there was even less support than the last pair of Clarks I bought (faraway field oxfords). These mary-janes were so uncomfortable that I only tried one on and immediately knew I would need to return them. Too bad, and probably my last pair of Clarks. This brand does not suit high-arch feet.
