Really good, easy-to-use pressure cooker
I use my pressure cooker a lot - probably two or three times a week. Pressure cookers save money, because they don't take as long to cook things, but produce (in my opinion) much better results than, say, a microwave. I use mine for things like making my own bone broth Very easy and quite quick), cooking brown rice, cooking beans and making delicious stews, casseroles and curries. I've had an earlier version of these Tower One Touch cookers for several years and it's been reliably brilliant. But unfortunately I managed to drop the pressure cooker lid from some height onto a road, and the plastic twist-lock was smashed and the lid dented so it no longer worked, so I needed to buy a new one. I cosidered other styles and brands for a while, then realised that cooking with this one is so reliable and automatic that I wanted to stick with it. It's very well made, easy to use and clean, and easy to obtain replacement seals when needed. The twist lock is designed so that the pan can't be opened until the pressure has reduced, so one of the 'dangers' that people sometimes worry about with pressure cookers is avoided. The instruction manual with the pan is very clear and includes step-by-step 'how tos' on both use and cleaning; sample recipes and a troubleshooting guide. I think even someone who has never used a pressure cooker could learn how quickly with the guidance given. If you want to save power, save time and save money while still cooking the sort of dishes that usually take several hours, I'd thoroughly recommend this pan.

Simple, safe and efficient
We have been using a pressure cooker for just about everything we cook for 40 years. As there are only two people in the house mostly now we decided we needed a 3litre PC to supplement our 5litre PC and we could get rid of our ancient 7litre PC. We decided on a trivet/steamer basket support type. The stainless steel PC would be easier to clean. It took a few uses to get familiar with its foibles and subtle uses compared to our existing one. Our main use is for vegetable cooking. It is even more efficient if you put in hot water to start with. I was surprised how quickly it came to pressure - indicated by the red pressure button popping up. I was even more surprised how little heat was needed to maintain the pressure especially at the lower pressure setting. We heat it on the largest gas ring then move it to either the medium or smallest ring set at the lowest gas setting. Experience (trial & error) is needed for gauging the cooking time for how you like your vegetables; whether "soft" or with "some bite". There is some guidance in the instructions if you are new to PC cooking. Persevere if you are new, in time you'll wonder how you ever did without one We cool it under cold running water rather than venting or letting it cool down at room temperature as the cooking process continues during pressure reduction. There are safety warnings in the instructions. READ THEM. The pressure relief valve does vent steam if the heat supplied is too great during the cooking process. Adjust this appropriately for your cooker rings. Common sense says don't put your head over the safety valve. If you want to reduce your energy use for cooking then a Pressure Cooker will help considerably. This Tower model will certainly help. I fully recommend this model for efficiency and value for money.

Not worth it
The worst pressure cooker that I broth. It's the second time I give it a try and cook with it. The water just dissappear, the lid is not closing properly and it's dripping on the side on the stove. I've got the 3l one, as I only wanted to cook for 2 people. Following the instructions and only top water till the max line. They usually give 10 years guarantee, but its to late to return it, as I got it in December and already try to cooked twice. Don't bother to buy.

Very easy to use and quality as expected from Tower
Bought to replace a 48 year old 5ltr Tower Pressure Cooker. The new pressure cooker is an ideal replacement for obsolete models as mine was. Modern stainless steel with a stylish look. The interior base is rounded at the edge, which is just right for a wooden spoon to stir the contents evenly when searing etc. The timer which is removable comes with spare batteries. It emits a beeping sound when the time is up. The lid is on the heavy side but closes extremely easily and effortlessly. The steam release valve is operated by a simple quarter turn lever action. The bright red pressure indicator pops up in its own housing once the steam has built up. Comes with a trivet and basket for steaming, which I have not tried out yet. First time usage was for a chicken stew and I was not disappointed with the result. I would say this 4ltr size is adequate for 3 to 4 people. Very happy with my new pressure cooker, which will probably outlive me based on the life of my old Tower cooker!
