This is the best vegan coconut butter for baking I’ve ever used. It has zero coconut flavor and works well. As with most other coconut oil products, it is a solid at room temperature, so keep this in mind when working with it. It DOES NOT perform the same as dairy butter or even other forms of vegan shortening. It is quite thick. I used it both in the batter and to grease my pans and it worked in conjunction with wax paper circles perfectly. The cakes turned out beautifully. I will be using it in the frosting as well, but I’m hesitant because of the consistency. I may have to warm it slightly to bring the texture to a more liquid state. Again, the taste is superb. I will say it’s not buttery in flavor, but that’s okay, especially for fruit cakes, it really allows the fruit to shine through.

I am coeliac and have to adhere to a gluten free diet. Coconut is, of course, gluten free and, as a result, I use a lot of coconut products when cooking and baking - coconut flour, desiccated coconut, coconut oil, coconut butter, coconut milk and coconut water - I use them all. This butter is very pleasant and I especially like the fact that it seems to remain quite soft, certainly softer than other butters I have tried. This means that I don't have to insert the jar into a bowl of boiling water to melt it before use. Maybe come winter the butter will harden? I am not sure. This product is also reasonably priced when compared to other coconut butters. I am happy to recommend it and I will continue to use it.

I love this coconut butter for cooking - I switch between coconut butter and ghee depending on what I'm cooking. This is a great oil to use, the health benefits of coconut are great, and best still, for someone like me who can't stand the taste of coconut, there's no coconut smell or taste. I've used coconut oil before and it's just too overpowering to use in my cooking, but this butter is the perfect way to get the benefits without the coconut taste. It's easy to scoop out the jar, melts really quickly (often I find it's liquid at room temp depending on the time of year) and a little goes a long way. It always arrives bubble wrapped from amazon, occasionally the metal lid might be dented, but always sealed and in one piece.

If, like me, you are a bit averse to coconut, note that the coconut flesh is processed in such a way that it is entirely neutral in flavour. It cooks at a very high temperature but can also be used, for example, melted with cacao and sugar to make chocolate as well as in baking. So it is very versatile. Health benefits? Who knows? Certainly the high cooking temperature makes it a genuine alternative to rapeseed/canola oil, with its GM connotations. But it is a saturated fat that should be used in moderation.

This oil is great for cooking. The odour has been removed leaving it excellent for this purpose. Personally, I do not like the taste of coconut in my cooking. It does not work with all flavours. I use it when making pastries and biscuits as well. Any recipe that calls for sunflower oil (which is not good for you!) I substitute this instead. This is a staple cooking and baking oil for me (and it does not turn into a dangerous trans fat when it is heated to high temperatures).

Product its self is very good and is used to replace other oils. The removal of the coconut smell and taste make for a much more versatile oil. But I found that there was a large air hole in the oil, which just should not have been there. It's an expensive oil and one that I did not expect to get less product than I paid for. I would return it but I did not find the air hole until I had used the oil a number of times.

Tiana coconut butter really impressed with this have bought now 2 jars my husband is a convert because it cooks and bakes without any coconut taste at all. The food tastes perfect every time used it to pan fry some sea bass the other day. Lovely. This is certainly less greasy than a variety of other fats will continue to buy. It is a good size jar to and great value for the price.

I didn't find any problems with this product. Just as described. Only wish I could find it in stores. I'm still looking.
