Python Crash Course is an outstanding book that excels in its beginner-friendly approach to programming. It stands as the best resource I've encountered thus far for learning how to code.

I have been a little apprehensive in buying a book about python as these books tend to be very dry and written from an position of understanding it. Luckily for me I know a bit of programming , however, the book is a delight to read. I am most impressed in everything that I have read so far. I am looking to do some pretty complicated stuff with python in the longer term and I am now very sure that theis book will reinforce good programming practices in a pleasant and enjoyable way. If you ever had a wish to learn python, this book will make it a joyous event. Its amazing. does exactly what its says and the author and reviewers should be commended. I am impressed. Alex

The book is good for its target audience - beginner level programmers. I was expecting something aimed at programmers coming from a different language but with reasonable experience. In this case the book is verbose when explaining syntax e.g. while loops and if statements. I would still recommend buying it but be prepared to skim read over part 1 (syntax) and focus more on part 2 (projects).

Wow, what a book. I'm a computer scientist, but was clueless about Python. This book is a very good read, going into a good amount of detail of the inner working of the language. It was very easy to follow and I'm sure that even beginners will find it easy to follow. The book covers a very good amount of content, and binds everything together with hands-on projects. The language and the writing style is precise and friendly at the same time.

I have some knowledge of python and I bought this book to get a better understanding. This is an excellent book to understand the basics of python! I use this book as a reference book when I want a better understanding. I read chapter 8 to get a better understanding of defining functions and chapter 9 on object orientated programming. So far, this is an excellent book! It seem perfect for the begineers and even someone with more experience. However, this covers the BASICS in alot of detail!

EDIT: i have now completed the book cover to cover. Yes every bit of it!. It well worth a purchase for some one that is starting off with python. I would recommend making this your first book to start with in Python. Simply as everything is explained line by line. Every chapter is split into several modules and every module has a "test" at the end which helps enforce the knowledge. Rather then looking online for the answers try reading threw the module again it helps loads. Best of luck and great quality of a book

This is an excellent introduction to programming. You'll find it useful even if you have some basic programming experience. The book focuses on practical examples and projects with multiple try it yourself excercies in every chapter to keep you engaged. It doesn't go into million details where you fall asleep instantly. It goes from the basic stuff such as flow control ( data types. if statements, loops etc) to object oriented programming (classes). Definitely recommended! I wish more books were like this one!

This book is amazing. I've been a school teacher myself for 15+ years, and I find this book to be excellently well written and concise. Perfect for the new beginner and worth every penny. It will take you step by step through every stage of the exercises, and the author explains every line of code so you know exactly what's going on. I'd have paid double and still be happy with the purchase. A must buy for new programmers.

Easy to understand

Me gusto mucho la forma que se uso para explicar cada concepto de programación con el lenguaje de Python. Creo que es un muy buen libro para principiantes (como yo). Aunque ya esta disponible su 2da Edición!!, y supongo trae algunas actualizaciones de contenido, así que no la pienses mas y a por él!!! Con respecto al estado físico del libro, todo estuvo bien y la entrega fue a tiempo por parte de Amazon. NOTA: Hay un detalle con el diseño de el "lomo y la cubierta", lo que le llaman en Ingles "Lay Flat Binding", ya que al poco tiempo se despego la cubierta por uno de los costados del libro, a pesar de que siempre leo sobre mi escritorio.

Il libro è arrivato in stato buonissimo e la rilegatura è bellissima! E' scritto in maniera molto scorrevole e precisa ed è proprio l'ideale per chi si approccia a Python (e forse anche per chi si approccia alla programmazione per la prima volta)

This book is great. The very methodical way you go through the book is amazing. Instead of throwing you into a bunch of jargon the first thing you do is type: print("Hello World") , then they go through the anatomy of the line of code, blue font means this, brackets means that. It just builds and builds. One thing is you will have to do is type and run the code as you read. Just reading it won't give you the muscle memory and grammar you need to learn to code. The first 230 pages are all instructional (that's where I am right now) and then there are two projects they walk you through for the other two thirds to build a space invaders like game with al the stuff you learned from the instructional section.

This book is very good for beginners. Some Python projects are also covered.
