How did Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein improve my training and/or diet? I ran out of whey powder before I bought this tub on Amazon. I have trained several periods in the last years with and without whey protein (replaced shakes with natural protein sources). I personally like the quick absorption of Optimum Nutrition Whey, the flexibility and creativity it adds to my day-to-day activities and the quality of the product. I have barely any other option to quickly get a protein amount while I am juggling my job, my workouts and while I am outside of my house. I personally think this whey protein has very positive effects on my training - I take 1 shake after my workout and (depending on diet/day) 1 shake before going to sleep. (I have gained about 14 lbs of lean muscle mass in the last 11 months of training - 4 day split). I also run 2-3 times a week (approx. 30 minutes). TASTE: I have tried several brands before I discovered Optimum Nutrition. Cookies & Cream is probably too sweet for some consumers, the taste improves if you just mix it with water (milk, juices and the like have too much sweetness already). Mixing with WATER: Using a SMART SHAKER (tm) - mixes OK with water, there are no lumps and the process is quick. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Mixing with MILK (low-fat 0.3% milk): Using a SMART SHAKER - mixes really well, taste is excellent. No lumps or issues. If you shake it hard enough there will be a little bit of "foam" on top of your shake which is good. Mixing with fruit juice: I have tried MINUTE MAID Orange Juice - mixing was no problem but I personally didn't like the cookie/cream/orange taste. Mixing/Combining with Quaker Oats (oatmeal/porridge): ON Double Rich Chocolate with oatmeal adds a great taste and makes the oatmeal more appealing. However, there is also a floury side taste (similar to mixing with water alone) which is the only downside. I can live with it. NEGATIVE / ADVERSE effects on body, skin or hair: NONE.

I've tried this powder with water and it was absolutely terrible, tasted so bad had to throw the rest down the sink. I used milk instead, tasted a lot nicer, so I recommend using milk instead of water. There was no clumsiness. Was easy to digest. and id say it was good value for money. The best tasting flavour in my opinion out of the four I had of this is, in order, White Chocolate Raspberry, Delicious Strawberry, Double Rich Chocolate and lastly Cookies and Cream.

I’ve been using Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein for a while now, and it’s easily one of the best protein powders I’ve tried. It mixes really well with no lumps and has a smooth texture, even just with water. Each serving packs around 24g of protein with low sugar and fat, which makes it ideal for post-workout recovery or just topping up daily protein intake. The taste is solid too, especially the chocolate flavours, not overly sweet or artificial. It’s also gentle on the stomach compared to some other brands, and I’ve noticed good results in terms of recovery and muscle maintenance. The only downside is that the price can be a bit higher than others, but you’re definitely paying for quality. Overall, a reliable, great-tasting protein that does exactly what you need 👍

Great value for money. I blend it into my smoothies and I think its the best way to mix it in; this gives the best consistency. Best protein powder on the market, highest amount for each serving, very strong. Its not filling on its own, just a beverage, but when blended, its great as a meal replacement. On my second tub!

I heard lots of negative remarks about the taste and texture of whey powder, But wanted something to speed recovery time after training and after reading the reviews thought I would try this. Not sure it tastes like cookies and cream but certainly tastes nice. Very sweet but after experimenting with the qty of water added got it to taste right. Not lumpy at all, but also not thick which some people prefer. Seems to cut down recovery time. Going to try the chocolate one next as its cheaper.
