Wow, this product is amazing. I truly didn't expect it could clean up my grandparents marble grave but it has! It took 2 applications, a 3rd in a few places but it looks as good as new, and with very little effort! I sprayed it on and after a few minutes you could see the stains melting away! I used a little brush to get into carved areas and it brushed off easily! It is quite strong, I used rubber gloves and I would say be careful if you have painted letters, it could probably take the colour out, my letters were on the front of the marble

Excellent product. I purchased this to try and clean off 43 years of dirt, weathering, and mildew from my late grandmothers headstone. As you can see from the before and after photos, the headstone would have originally been a beautiful white marble but over the years had turned a dark grey. I sprayed this product on the stone and left It for 2 minutes (it warns not to leave it on white marble for more than 2-3 minutes) before giving it a good scrub and then rinsing it off with plenty of water. I then repeated this. The result is not perfect, but I didn’t expect To be. It is certainly a good start though. It has restored a lot of the original whiteness but has struggled with the more stubborn staining, especially on the base and the edges. I will return in the spring to give this another treatment and perhaps leave the product on the more stubborn areas a little bit longer. Overall I rate this as good value, easy to use product when coupled with a bit of elbow grease.

I cleaned my grandfather's white marble headstone last weekend with this. The headstone is 80 years old. I had tried to get D/2, but there is only one distributor of D/2 Biological Solution here in the UK, so it's prohibitively expensive. I emailed the distributor to ask about a wholesale price, but nope. As an alternative, I decided to go with HG, and it worked a charm. The results are AMAZING, and there's a few things you need to know before you use it: 1. Don't use this product if the headstone has lead or gold lettering. It will ruin your headstone. I had two headstones to clean - one with lead lettering - and I'm so glad I read earlier reviews, so I knew not to use it on that second headstone. 2. Make sure the headstones on either side of the one you’re cleaning don’t have lead lettering either. There are few places in the UK that are not going to have a breeze, and I was mortified when I saw the HG solution drifting to neighbouring headstones as I worked. Luckily the other stones around me didn’t have lead lettering, and going forward, I wouldn’t take the risk of my HG accidentally landing on someone else’s headstone and ruining it. So not only check the headstone you want to clean, but check the neighbour’s headstones too. 3. Wear a face mask. Like a full face mask. This stuff is strong, and even when I was careful, there was a lot of blowback (and it wasn’t a windy day.) I wore a mouth/nose mask as I worked, but I still got it in my eyes more than once, and today the skin on my face is puffy and irritated. If I ever use this product again, I will wear one of those clear covid face shields. Barring that, safety glasses, rubber gloves and a mouth & nose mask are an absolute must. Trust me on this. 4. I got the most incredible results with only the gentlest of scrubbing with a nylon brush. For one smallish headstone, however, I did go through an entire 1-quart bottle of the product. In retrospect, had I been more patient, I could have used half that. Time is more effective than scrubbing. I know this because there were detailed portions of the stone I couldn’t scrub, because I had forgotten to bring a toothbrush, yet those spots came out as clean as the areas I had scrubbed down a few times. So simply be patient and let the chemicals do their job. Someone in an earlier review mentioned not using it on a sunny day, because the product dries too quickly. That’s good advice that I wish I had followed. Again, it would have reduced the amount of product I used. 5. Speaking of chemicals. DO NOT WEAR CLOTHES YOU PLAN TO WEAR AGAIN. You know the ratty clothes you keep for when you have to paint? Wear those. Between breezes and scrubbing, some of the solution is going to land on your clothes, and it will bleach the crap out of anything it touches. My khaki shorts are now khaki & speckled pink, and neatly folded in the back of my closet for the next time I have to paint a wall. Or you could just wear white, your call. Would I use this product again? I think so. In terms of time, it’s about the same amount of time to work as Wet & Forget and just a touch longer than D/2 biological solution. Value for money? Yes - the value is there - it’s a well-priced product. In terms of harsh chemicals, I think it’s similar to Wet & Forget, so you really can’t get away from that, unless you use D/2, which again, being under the control of one distributor in the UK, is prohibitively expensive and therefore out of reach for most people doing this as a hobby, volunteering or even running a small business. I’m still waiting to find out if Wet & Forget can be used on lead lettering, and if so, I will try that on headstone #2 and report back. Bottom line, this product is well-priced, incredibly effective, and does exactly what it says it will do. Just be careful, and don’t use it on lead or around other people, pets or anything that breathes without proper protection.

Excellent product. I was able to significantly clean up a headstone that was 55 years old. With one use and a little scrubbing it made such a huge difference without damaging the stone. Highly recommend

This cleaner is really efficient at getting a green algae headstone clean. We have already ordered again.

visited my in-laws grave stone and and was shocked at the state of the stone, over a few years it had become very stained with lichen. Not too sure wha the actual stone is made of but it is like a porous marble. We sprayed the cleaner on and agitated it with a stiff brush and left it for 15 minutes washed it off and repeated. We were amazed at how well it turned out. The only downside side was the strong smell of ammonia, but being outside it soon blew away.

mothers head stone was getting dirty used the cleaning spray it removed the stains BUT also removed some of the text. not something you would use on a regular basis

Brilliant stuff 5* So pleased with the result. Took 2 separate attempts, spray on, dab with a sponge (to stop it all) dripping off, give it a gentle scrub with a soft scrubbing brush, rinse. Really pleased. We were thinking of buying a whole new stone. Don't need to now. I am going to do it once more (for bits I may have missed), and I have bought a black permanent marker/paint pen thing to touch up the lettering and new stones👌👍

I have a heavy marble statue with mold/algae growing on it. I have sprayed practically the entire bottle now numerous times *exactly per the instructions* and almost NOTHING came off.
