Really nice pair of kitchen scissors
I had no idea that OXO made kitchen equipment - I naively thought they just made stock cubes and awful TV ads in the 80s! It seems I've been missing a trick here with their equipment though... I was becoming more and more frustrated with the pair of scissors I was using in the kitchen. Probably the item I cut the most is chicken breasts or mini fillets and more recently I was finding that a bit of a struggle. Rather than one simple snip to cut through it was requiring more and more, especially to cut the sinew part on some of the breasts. I decided to look for some new scissors and quickly came across these OXO Good Grips Kitchen Herb Scissors. Lots of positive reviews so that's always a good start. When they arrived I was impressed at how they looked and felt, but that was nowhere near as satisfying as the sharp snipping noise they make. You can definitely feel the blades making good contact and they felt sharp. I decided to cut some chicken up, because that is pretty much what I bought them for, and they sheared through it like a knife through butter. Quick and easy and a satisfying noise during each snip. The scissors come apart easy so you can clean them which is a novel idea. The handles are quite large and perfect for my hands. My girlfriends hands are much smaller and she can use them OK but they don't open as wide for her, however she was still able to cut stuff so she's happy with them too. There isn't much to go wrong with these but I'll be interested to see how long they last. The next time I start struggling to cut chicken it will be a pretty good indicator that the scissors are blunt! I've not used the herb stripper (yet) so can't really comment on that part. It certainly wasn't a consideration for me when purchasing these scissors though. Pros: - Decent quality. - Sharp (with a satisfying snipping noise). - Come apart easily for cleaning. Neutral: - The handles are quite large, perfect for my hands but small hands may struggle to open them very far. Cons: - Perhaps £12 is a little expensive for a pair of scissors but I use them pretty much every day.

The best
The best kitchen scissors. Recommended by a friend and they have lived up to expectations. I didn’t think I could ever be this enthusiastic about kitchen scissors! They are a good size and very sharp - particularly helpful for raw meat. No more struggling with those old Ikea kitchen scissors! The star feature for me is the fact they come apart in 2 pieces, which allows for effective cleaning. Definitely worth the money. It saves a lot of time not having to use mediocre scissors or knives and a cutting board for appropriate items.

Useful, easy to clean kitchen scissors
I have had a pair for years and find them good, solid kitchen scissors. I like that the sides can be separated, which is how I put them in the dishwasher to make sure they are really clean. I buy them (especially when they are on offer) to give to friends as small presents and instead of a bottle of wine, confident that other people should like them as much as I do.

Good value & quality but struggle with some fish prep.
A good price for generaly good quality kitchen scissors. The blades are sharp and cut through most fish fins and skin but did struggle with the frills on a couple of dover sole I was preparing. The blades twisted apart so I had to nibble away a bit at a time. The blades did spring back to the correct shape. They'd be 10/10 if the blades were a little thicker to resist this twisting. Handy that the blades separate for cleaning but I suspect this contributes to the issue noted above.

Excellent!
We’ve had these 4 years now, they are frequently cleaned in the dishwasher and are in my opinion the best scissors I’ve ever had. They’re still sharp and haven’t corroded, neither has the plastic distorted in the dishwasher as other owners have reported. I’m getting another pair each for our grown up children - just hope they’ll perform as well for them as they have for us!

Fantastic and very sharp beware.
Absolutely the best kitchen scissors I've ever possessed. Take care not to slice up the wash up sponge or tge tea towels. I wouldn't put in our dishwasher, fearing that they would lose their sharpness. They cut chives and other herbs like rosemary, thyme, or mint easily and perfectly, they trim fat etc off chicken thighs, pork chops or loin chops. They separate so easily for washing and after drying fit back together easily again. The scissors feel just right in my hands, despite my osteoarthritis I can use them without any pain or problem. I use them for so many other kitchen cutting tasks and they surprise me every time with their fantastic sharpness which actually makes a cutting instrument much safer, I think.

Best Kitchen Scissors
The best kitchen scissors I have ever found. They are quite sharp and cut through everything I need in the kitchen, meat, packaging, etc and easily come apart for cleaning, and very light considering their toughness.. Also, they have a good grip and are safe for hands with arthritis. Very good price too compared with others, similar of less quality in the market.

Kitchen MVP
These OXO Good Grips scissors are an absolute kitchen MVP. I bought them for snipping herbs, but now I find myself reaching for them for everything. Need to open a stubborn food packet? Done. Cut up bacon? Easy. Snip some chives with precision like a culinary ninja? Oh yeah. The stainless steel blades are super sharp, and the micro-serrated edge grips onto herbs and veggies like they owe it money. Plus, the soft, non-slip grip is comfortable enough to use even when your hands are wet or covered in olive oil (don’t judge me). They come apart for easy cleaning—so no gross gunk hiding in the hinge like my old scissors. Dishwasher safe too, but I usually hand wash to keep them in peak condition. Honestly, these scissors are so good I’m surprised Gordon Ramsay doesn’t have them tattooed on his arm. Buy them—you’ll wonder how you ever cooked without them.

I bloody love these scissors. OXO Good Grips range never disappointments. Nice and snippy, and love how they come apart for easy washing in the dishwasher. Popping them apart is also helpful for opening boxes. I keep two pairs in my kitchen so I am never without their helpful goodness.

Ok it's been a while since I wrote a review, but these are the best kitchen scissors ever. The tiny serrations are barely noticeable but they absolutely cut through everything. Like all OXO good grips products, the grip is freaking awesome, it's soft and textured and is even to hold even if your hands are slippery. The herb stripper is one of the coolest ideas ever and it makes stripping Rosemary so easy, I'm not sure about cilantro yet but I plan to try that soon, either way they blow the Farberware scissors from my old knife block they're replacing out of the water (which admittedly isn't hard to do). Highly recommend. I have a growing collection of OXO Good Grips stuff and I've been really happy with all of it so far. Their Salt and Pepper grinders are also super top notch. For 20 bucks, I don't think you can do any better, I checked out some of the larger brand's models and they seem less comfortable and no more durable for twice the money. I also like that the blades come apart, it makes them really easy to clean, I imagine easy to sharpen too, but with the serrations I doubt sharpening will be necessary any time soon (if ever). I'll be recommending these for a loooong time to come.
