Big sounding Foot Tambourine
Three things about foot tambourines: you want it to be easy to get on and off; you want it to be sturdy and not fall apart; and you want it to sound great. This one ticks all those boxes. Som re foot tambourines are sonically lightweight. This one sounds bigger than it is. Just don’t wear it walking down the road. They’ll look at you funny!

As good as you'd think it would be
I don't really know what to say here. You strap it to your foot and it does what you'd think it would. The sound is bright without it being like having razor blades thrown at you, and the quality seems fine, as you'd blooming well hope for from a LP instrument, Fine - if unremarkable. Not cheap, but it has a little LP stamp on it, which may explain it...

Annoying the wife
Annoying the wife, so gets 5 out of 5 from me!!!!! Great sounding. Easy to play as you let your foot tap out its natural beat....... Making my foot hurt from using it too much ;)

Not a ‘tight’ sound compared to Meinl
I bought this to compare to the Meinl CFJS2S-BK. The red LP feels lighter and cheaper, and the strap is of a poorer quality and construction. It has a deeper fundamental tone than the Meinl, but at the same time has very bright (and to me, annoying) overtones. I use a foot tambourine on my left foot to approximate a snare sound, stomp box with right foot for a bass drum; basic drum patterns to accompany guitar and voice for pop/soul/funk covers. The Meinl is by far the better option for this, not only in general tone, but the fact that it has a sharp decay and sounds tight. The LP rings out horribly in comparison and sounds loose and messy on the backbeat.

Cheerful sound.
A nice bright sound. Perfect for use with a ukulele.

Perfect!
Excellent sound for something so small, and so much easier than trying to use your foot with a full size one. Love it!

Seems like a useful bit of kit
I wanted some kind of hands free percussion instrument when playing guitar / bass with my duo. Seems like a robust bit of kit but must admit I wont use it in anger until our next gig in a few weeks time. For now then I am giving it 4 stars.

Latin Percussion is widely popular and for good reason. I play guitar and find self-accompaniment adds a great dimension. I have elaborate foot operated cajon and high hat set ups but nothing beats this simple, portable and light tambourine. One of my more recent performance partner has one, and if one of us forgets to bring theirs we have a lot of back and forth over who gets to play the tambourine 'this time'. I also have a professional full size tambourine and have experimented with various contraptions to anchor it to the ground but really it is all just a waste of time when all you have to do is pick up one of these great little instruments. You can even place a microphone on the floor, just duct tape it down rather than pay for an elaborate microphone stand as you might do with other set ups. If playing acoustically or at lower volumes the tambourine is loud enough to be heard over a steel string acoustic guitar. The sound fits in well with a wide variety of styles and is subtle enough to go along with almost any style of music. Seriously, this is one of the best low cost upgrades to a solo or ensemble musicians' array of tools and one of my favorite products in the entire Amazon musicians' inventory. NOTE: The elastic band is not as durable as the rest of the instrument but you can purchase flat webbing at your local hardware store if, after years of use, it is necessary to repair.
