Maths (See Inside): 1

I got this for my 6 year old daughter as a reference for her now she is doing more in maths lessons at school, although it has some maths that she wont be needing for a long time yet, For example: it has a flap that reads "for any size circle the circumference divided by the diameter always comes out as (the symbol for Pi)" Which i don't think my 6 year old is going to be even told about for years to come yet, however as i was reading it i do think it will give me the snipets to help me rememeber things that will help my daughter when the time comes. There is so much information in this book and it is presented so well with simple explanations. I will be buying other 'see inside' books as i think usborne books are fantastic. In response to another review regarding the wrong answer, my book reads: "Fungus fills half the room. If it doubles every hour, how long before it fills 4 rooms of equal size?" Then under the flap reads "The fungus already fills half a room. In 1 hour it will fill a whole room. In 2 hours it will fill 2 rooms. So in 3 hours it will fill 4 rooms of equal size" Which i believe is correct.

Lovely interactive book. Lots of flaps to lift up and very colourful. My son enjoyed reading and really engaged with this book. Makes learning maths more fun.

Why I chose the rating is always there must be a margin left for improvement otherwise complacency sets in. I like the book,the front cover,it is as described. I would recommend it for bookshops with a department for children,schools and libraries.

Lovely flip up book for my granddaughter. Great illustrations, reasonably priced.

A great fun book to help your child grow more interest maths, my eight year old daughter loves it as we go through each page and flap together. And if you can help make maths more fun, why not? Highly recommend this as well as many other usbourne books.

I liked this book because I have it in school.It has snakes and ladders on page 13 and has many more interesting facts👍👍
