I have always had a problem trying to sharpen my knives due to Arthritic hands so when I first heard about Work Sharp I went onto their website to check out a video on knife sharpening and after watching I bought this Work Sharp Guided Field Knife Sharpener pocket model. And wow I have good sharp knifes fit for their job. My main knife is KA-BAR BK16, and now it works, I also have Victorinex Hunter folder and that is now sharp. So if you intend buying first check the website WORK SHARP and take your time to check the relevant videos before you buy. GOOD Quality ALL ROUND. Finally I noticed about reversing the diamond plates when not in use to protect them.

I used this tool to sharpen a S30v blade to razor sharpness for the first time ever! The blade was in pretty good condition already so I worked it on the fine diamond side, then fine ceramic and then stropped it. I've gone back and forth a bit on the ceramic and strop sides because I'm still very much learning to sharpen properly. The guides have been a fantastic help and have enabled me to do such a fine job. I'm no expert, just a beginner at sharpening but I have tried a few things in the past such as steels and a little on a whetstone. This is by far the easiest and most effective sharpening tool that I've used. I also feel that it's helping me to learn quickly about good sharpening angles and techniques. I strongly recommend this Worksharp Field Sharpener.

Outstanding little field sharpener way better than expected, I have used lansky sharpening systems and falkniven sharping stones and this little work sharp beauty is probably the best I have used it’s small both sharpening plates can be replaced once worn u can first take out all the damaged edges on your knife then fine hone it then using the ceramic built in rod dress the edge and then finally strop it with the built in strop there is a rotatable ceramic rod in fine and coarse and a fish hook sharpener and a serretated blade sharpener I love this also it has built in angle guides I use it on all my knifes axes tools ect

I collect knives for over 40 years and bought a number of sharpeners. All different setups and materials, from simple sharpening stones to "professional" power sharpeners. Some worked well, others were a pure waste of money. This field sharpener is in a league of it's own, at home or deep in the woods. It is compact, but don't get fooled by that. I have sharpened fixed and folding knives of different sizes and steel composition and ALWAYS had a superbly sharp edge within a few minutes. Follow the instructions, don't do anything stupid with it, and you will not find a better field sharpener in any price range.

Fantastic sharpener, it does everything required, is easy to use giving a great finish and is small enough to put in your sack.

This is absolutely superb! I am not the best at sharpening, in fact I have always struggled to get knives razor sharp, but with this as a guide, I am instantly improved and can shave with my knives now! ( Not that I really want to mind...) This item helps you get the angle right, so is perfect for those like me that have been struggling. With practice with this, I feel sure I will get better with any sharpening system. Very highly recommended.

Coming from using basic unguided diamond plates for decades, I was recommended to use this as it teaches you correct blade angles. Not only does it do that: you get great results very quickly with little fuss. Simple and easy to use and very well designed. Considerably safer than using something like an ezylap. Only 2 things that are not ideal: 1. Because of the body of a multitool being quite bulky, you will struggle to use the guided angle for the entire blade (small ~5mm section is difficult to reach on one side of the knife. 2. Due to the leverage, it becomes a touch unstable when working a blade towards yourself. This however is easy to remedy by resting the mar end on something to stabilise it. Just worth noting for a field sharpener... I would almost suggest if you aren't planning on using this in the field to get the next model up which is suited to working on a bench. Otherwise super impressed and absolutely blown away by the results to effort ratio.

Comprato per avere un metodo di affilatura completo e tascabile nelle mie uscite bushcraft questo affilatore si è dimostrato all’altezza del suo compito. Avendo in un unico oggetto svariati tipi di metodi di affilatura, dalle parti diamantate , alle parti in ceramica sino ad avere una piccola coramella in cuoio già “imbevuta” di pasta abrasiva 👍🏻.

Kompakt, gut verarbeitet, zweckmäßig. Nicht ausreichend, um eine Klinge mit eine Grundschliff zu versehen, aber ideal, um eine gut geschliffene Klinge mit wenig Aufwand, dauerhaft sehr scharf zu halten.
