At this price... these are famtastic! You should have an EQ for them though... and maybe an amp.
I haven't used all headphones in this price range obviously, but I used to use Sony MDRs that were about €30, and I also had much more expensive HyperX's (painfully bright), and these Superlux Evos punch way above their weight. They're super light btw... almost cheap feeling, but you don't want heavy phones anyway. They sit on your head using an AKG style stretchy band that you can't even feel, so they're always at the perfect height. No adjustments needed, all headphones should do this.I changed the pads to the foam pads in order to help reduce the bass, as out of the box they can be a bit bass heavy, and I can't tell if it's my ears that adjusted (probable) or the headphones actually had a burn in period, but after using them for a couple of weeks with an EQ that reduced bass and boosted high-mids a little, I ended up taking off the EQ all together. I think these have a burn in period for that reason (or maybe the pads do), because I kept flattening my EQ over the course of a couple of weeks. In fact, now I'm boosting the sub-bass for fun! If it was just my ears tricking me, surely I would have left the EQ as is... but that's a whole topic of debate. What I want is basically impossible; something that can go to sub-bass levels, is open backed for that great stereo imaging and still punch like an angry drunk, AND is cheap! Well... this manages to do most of that! I can get as low as 40ish Hz using an EQ and they really rumble! I can't believe they go as low as they do, I think it's to do with the large drivers, but at this price it's just an awesome feature! Compared to in-ear buds though, the headphones put out about half the volume, so you may need an amplifier of some sort (my Behringer UMC204 DAC handles them fine). They can still punch reasonably well with the right track, and they still sound pretty wide with good soundstage, again depending on the track. What you get for your money here is nothing short of a wonder.I've A/B'd these with my Yamaha HS50 speakers, and they don't sound all that bad in comparison (though the HS50s are very clear). I'd rather mix on these than the Sony MDRs at this price, that's for sure. I don't think they're immersive like more expensive (or more enclosed maybe? ) headphones are, but at a tenth of the price of such headphones, these are great. If you want to hear that 40ish-Hz sub-bass, you'll need an EQ to do it, you won't get it out of the box. If you're using these at home on a Windows PC, you can use "Peace APO". And pushing those frequencies will push the drivers really hard, so you'll introduce some ducking in the rest of the frequency range, but hey... it maximizes fun! They also come with a long (3 meters?) cable, a short (1 meter or less) cable, a choice of pleather and foam earpads (honestly, high praises for them including a choice of pads!) and these headphones also have a nifty feature of the cable detaching at the headphone. Honestly, these are a fantastic buy, Superlux have gone way above and beyond for such small money. Don't expect to be blown away by amazing sound quality, these take some time to find their ground, so give them a couple of weeks before deciding if you like them or not. They won't compete with €300 headphones, but they're only £30!If you're broke, get these. If you can go up to about €60 maybe look at the Koss KPH30i's (if you can get them at all). The Superlux HD681EVO's are good value for money.

Decent budget bassy open headphones
I was looking for budget headphones that would be open-back. For this particular case I *don't* want sound isolation. (If you do want isolation and/or want to avoid sound leaking out, get a closed-back pair).I also needed strong bass, this was a pair for a fan of heavy music. And I got these two things with the Superlux HD681 Evo.The sound that is *not* low-bass is good enough, but somewhat "cold", not the "full-bodied" sound I get out of budget closed-back cans from OneOdio. But the low-bass is wa-a-ay ahead of the OneOdio. So my guess - I'm not an audio expert - is that in this pair you get better low-bass at the cost of somewhat worse mid-bass.For heavy metal and the like, and if open-back is what you want (so forgetting about any isolation), these are your pair.

These are awesome
First thing, the pads are terrible. They are kind enough to include two terrible pads, but it's just more to have to throw away.I got a pair of 110mm replacement pads that just make all the difference. Though be aware that the pads can cost as much as these cans if you go with a popular brand. I chose not to, paid half the price and the resulting pads were just as good as the more popular brand tbh. With the new pads, comfort improves. They are slightly tight with the ones provided.Sound is pretty great, not flat, not quite a v, the soundstage is good and positioning quite exciting at times.I played a track to my wife that she knows very well and she thought it was a remix. Pretty neat. There's talk of the bass being a bit flabby as it reaches the mids, but I haven't noticed that. Most genres of music sound plenty good and I've found them fun to use while gaming.I started off looking for some headphones at the £200 mark. I got these and some monoprice modern retro closed headphones, with new pads for both for less than a third of my budget and I'm more than happy.Build quality? Meh, but nothing to complain about at this price. The removable lead is fun, two leads are provided, both almost as great as the pads, but at least these work. I can't see a huge amount of benefit in upgrading these leads as they plug into a cheap connector, but happy to be proven wrong.Should you buy them? Yes. As long as you're happy buying new pads.

Good audio quality, build not so
Audio quality is good overall however the headband snapped after less than a year of light use. Can't seem to source a replacement nor does it look like it can be.

great sound
bought as a temporary replacement for my other headphones whilst they are repaired. Fantastic sound after EQ. Only complaint is they can be a bit uncomfortable after a while but that is acceptable for the price. I just wear the extra set of headphone cushions included ontop of the others and it makes it ok after it starts to feel uncomfortable.

Would call these professional
Pros:Cheaper than others.Has a male end on the headphones.Has a studio jack adapterIs on ear. Though this could feel uncomfortableHas spare foam pads.Has two detachable cables. One longer than the other.Cons:Leaks sound outLeaks sound inOther reviews have said the item has broken. Though I've come up with the solution to use earphones for personal use and these ones for work as well as important things. And not to use it in bed as I could fall asleep. Also it doesn't have a mic. But then again I use it as a monitoring headphones.Update: still going good after 5 months.
