Spending many hours in front of a PC began to cause some wrist strain. I began using an ergonomic mouse which significantly improved the pain. However, I came across this mouse mat with gel pad and decided to add this to my home office with a view to further improving my dilemma. The mouse mat itself is robust and certainly made from quality material with a non-slip base. The gel pad in particular is nice and soft; there is plenty of space on the mouse mat surface for the mouse to move around freely. Unfortunately, I found my wrist pain worsened when using a vertical ergonomic mouse in conjunction with this mouse mat, largely due to the gel pad compressing the ulner nerve which runs down the side of the wrist towards the little finger. After thirty minutes of use I was in agony. I decided to try the mouse mat with a regular mouse and found it was fantastic in providing the much needed wrist support required when the hand is in this position. The gel pad is very comfortable when the wrist lays upon it and feels quite soothing as it is cool to the touch. If you are using a regular mouse, this is a great solution to minimise wrist pain.

I bought this Ergonomic Mousepad to use at work in the office, as I was beginning to get pain in my wrist and felt I needed to do something about it before it turned to something more serious. I've been using it for 8 hours a day for a few months now, and my wrist pain has disappeared entirely. The mousepad itself is about a centimetre thick and feels like it will last for a long time. The underside is extremely grippy and will not slide on laminate, wood or glass. There are 2 separate gel pads, as the product picture shows, and this not only looks attractive, but is functional in delivering extra ventilation to the base of your wrist on those stuffy days in the office. It does actually seem to work as opposed to just being a gimmick. I was concerned when looking at the pictures that the gel pads may not be substantial enough, but they're the perfect height. In terms of durability of the gel pads, I've not managed to puncture one yet, and I've accidentally stabbed them with my pen a fair few times, so I'm confident that I won't be experiencing any messy mishaps any time soon. One minor gripe I have is that my mouse makes a strange squeaky noise as it travels over the textured surface of the pad. I think this might be something to do with my mouse though, as the pad bits on the mouse have sharp edges. Other than this, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to reduce wrist pain caused by heavy mouse usage. There are cheaper Ergonomic mousepads, but this one really is worth the extra few bob.

I’ve been using an older fabric Kensington wrist support for many years. Too many years to be honest. The fabric had worn away from the internal gell and it had grown ‘floopy enough to need viagra’ according to a colleague. So I decided to buy a replacement. The model I had been using and I was content to continue re-buy is no longer available so I went for this one based on the reviews. It is much, much better than my old fabric wrist support. With a soft hard plastic covering I believe it will last much longer than my old fabric wrist support. In comparison it looks indestructible. It’s also quite attractive in design. It has a cool Star Trek Next Generation look to it in blue. The outer soft plastic is great and performs well. It is the most expensive wrist support I’ve ever bought. I think it was almost double the cost of my previous fabric support. That’s the only gripe. If it lasts longer then the extra cost is justified. Some of my office colleagues have indicated they’d like one but the company is sticking with providing the old fabric ones. I paid for it myself and I feel it was worth it.

This is my second Kensington Duo Gel Mousepad Wave (my first was blue). I had my first one for 8 years before the wrist pad split and the gel gradually leaked out and became sticky (it took over a year from splitting to gel leaking), and the only reason it split is that the wrist area 'hovers' over nothing on a corner on my cockpit style desk, and the weight of my wrist on it eventually caused it to split, but it did take 7 years for that to happen. The mousepad also gets moved often, as my son uses my desk when he visits, and he's a righty and I'm a lefty. The stickiness of the underside has never lessened with all the moving about. When it gets a bit gritty or the stickiness seems to have gone, I take a wet-wipe and clean it, and voila it's sticky again. On initial use, the gel rest itself is very firm, but this gradually softens after 6months, but does not get too soft and continues to support the wrist over its lifetime. Incredibly great value considering how long it lasts and how good it's support is.

Ich arbeite beruflich wie privat täglich viele Stunden am PC und habe dieses Mauspad im Einsatz. Ich empfinde es überragend (habe übrigens die Handballenauflage vom selben Hersteller im selben Look, zur Info). Der Handballen wird perfekt abgestützt, meine Logitech-Funkmaus lässt sich perfekt bedienen. Das Mauspad ist absolut rutschfest, was man nicht von allen behaupten kann. Das Material ist so beschaffen, dass man nicht schwitzt, sondern immer angenehm, egal bei welchen Temperaturen. Nur habe ich es irgendwie geschafft, einen Riss in die Oberfläche zu bringen, das mag aber generell kein Gel-Pad, und das Problem sehe ich eher bei mir als beim Pad :-) Daher werde ich es mit Sicherheit wiederkaufen und vergebe die höchstmögliche Sternenzahl. Klare Kaufempfehlung, wer so ein Mauspad sucht.

Best purchase ever for my mouse at work (and gosh knows I've been through a lot). MUST BUY if you don't want to develop carpal tunnel. Even bought two more for my mom for her home and work!

Les reposes poignets sont de très bonne qualité et permettent de diminuer les tensions et douleurs au niveau des poignets. J'utilise ces repose poignets depuis plus de 2 ans et en moyenne 40 heures par semaines et ils remplissent parfaitement leurs fonctions. Même lors de canicule, il n'y a aucun soucis de transpiration.
