This is the second pair of these boots that i have bought. When I was looking through my Amazon account to find the original purchase I saw that the previous pair had lasted for a whole year. That was brilliant as I have been buying more expensive noeprene boots, and having to change them at four month intervals due to heel wear giving me back pain. These have not worn so quickly, and therefore no back pain. In fact the only reason to replace the original set is that they have started to leak, and one of the jobs that I use them for is emptying a duck pond. Wet feet are OK, but that stuff smells. I took a chance on a 'cheap'pair of boots and it has paid off. You don't need to take a chance because hopefully this reveiw will tell you that they are not cheap, they are good value.

These wellies are great, but as other reviews have said, they are a little on the big side. I'm a size 10 normally so went for a 9, and they are still a touch big, but nothing a thick pair of socks doesn't sort. and wearing a thick pair of socks isn't a bad idea to increase comfort. Last point to note is they are not solid enough to stand open for you to slit your feet into. You need to hold the opening open to get them on. Not a big issue and I would certainly have no issues recommending these to anyone. Great value for what I paid, which was around the £10 mark. Great value.

As other reviews have mentioned, these give a fairly large fit, which is a bonus for me - having found that some of the wellies on Amazon are a size or two smaller than they claim to be, it was very refreshing to find my size 14 feet fit into these size 13 boots with space to spare. Just one word of warning: steel toe caps can be very unforgiving if you accidentally kick a heavy object in slightly oversize boots, so thicker socks might be indicated! Aside from that they are comfortable with a good, solid feel. On the downside, after just under three months' use the left boot has split in two places, so that water can run in by the toe and out at the heel, and the right is not far behind. To be fair, I am hard on boots - around 8 hours' wear per day, and more than the average flexing at the ankle due to crouching etc - but I have had other wellies in the same price range last longer. I suppose all that metal limits the flexibility.

Pros, strong and well made. Good value for money. Cons, very large in foot, the only way to was the liner would be to fillthe boot with soapy water - not removable as expected,, I am not tall, these are mid. Alf length not knee length. Generally I am disappointed with the description of these boots. They will do the job I purchased them for - gardening but I wold not go fishing in them. Low stars due to poor match to description.

The product leaflet, or User Instructions, gives comprehensive details [safety features etc.]. It clearly states the footwear is supplied with a removeable insock or seat sock. It adds, the insock should remain in place whilst the footwear is in use. I've contacted the company named on the leaflet, Rodo Ltd. in Manchester, (M43 7BU) to send me the insocks for my size 13 wellingtons. I hope they do. +=+=+= Later the company contacted me, and told me these wellingtons are not supplied with an insock or insole. The company will be correcting the leaflet. Size 13 insoles are available on the Internet. Local stores might only sell insoles up to size 11. AND to add to this review - initially a good pair of wellies, BUT after a few months the rubber split on one boot. I hope to send it back!

These are great. They do the job well. Reasonable price too. My partner uses them for outdoor work.
