Citronella - Spiral - Metal Holder - 10 pieces (Design May Vary)

I bought these to use on holiday in Barbados. I like to sit outside in the evening as the sun goes down which is exactly when those pesky mosquitos like to party on me. The instructions are clear and pretty simple. The only thing that might be confusing is that each pack has two intertwined could which have to be separated. Light the end of the individual coil, let the flame go out and the lighted end will continue to slowly burn away. Place the coil into the holder and position the holder a short distance away from you. I usually use about half a coil each time until I'm ready to extinguish it and go inside. I don't know how it works but it really does keep the mosquitos away.

These are great. They burn for ages and the bugs really dont seem to like the scent at all and stay away! We have a couple on the ground level blowing towards us and on the table outside. Def recommend. Be careful when separating the coils as they can break easily!

Very effective on a trip to SE Asia. Left just outside or inside my door or window they seemed to really deter the mosquitoes. I like the smell but can see why some might not love it - but mozzies certainly don't and that's the main thing. The tin is really handy and lasted me several months away and is still good to use (despite me occasionally using it as a makeshift ashtray when in need). The only reason I don't give this product 5 stars is because the coils were not well cut were difficult to separate and obviously broke up a bit. You can still use the pieces so not the worst thing, but obviously they don't last as long.

Never had anything like this before, but happy to recommend it, just a heads up really, the citronella coils are joined in pairs that you need to separate before using. If you just go ahead and use it without separation, you will cause a potent fumigation with possible risk of overheat. The tin burner that comes with it is essential for these swirls to burn safely and efficiently, ignite the outer tail of the swirl, allow the flame to burn for a few seconds then puff out lay on the internal wire grid, place the lid on and let the red glow burn away. I would suggest that it is not to be left near interested children, dogs or cats etc., as it is easy to knock open, and disturb the burning swirl. One swirl lasts around 3 hours, wind depending, and sure does what it should. The smoke is pungent and must not be used inside or even in an awning according to the instructions. The end product is pure ash, and knock out ready for the next one. Replacement swirls are available without the burner, and I certainly will be ordering some soon. Read the information, apply precautions, use and enjoy a midge free evening!

I specifically bought these as was looking for the type of coils in the picture....and it isn't those....I'd also be interested to know if anyone gets any of the other patterns. Haven't tried to burn them yet but the coils like this are a bu**er to get apart so it will be interesting to see how they do. Shame about the coils though as we didn't have as much success with these in the past.... and the tin isn't that pretty with the flower on it but that's my fault for not reading the disclaimer.

Liked the smell and the effective nature of the product. The burner is helpful and we've taken it on holiday to the South of France as well as using in the UK. It's better than putting the coils on a china plate, which causes them to crack, or a raffia table (which burns through - I've done both!) Only slight drawback - hence four stars for easy to use, not five - is the coils need teasing apart, though I suppose it means you get twice as much for the money. To light, I find holding a lit match or lighter underneath till there's a flame, then blow till it glows.

If you want to get all your windows open and your smoke alarms blaring - buy one of these! The design is awful. I bought two - one for myself and one for my daughter and we both had the same issue. Get a spiral hanger or whatever they are - just not one of these

As soon as this was delivered i opened it and lit it! I live amoungst fields and we get alot of flies this time of year well until it gets cooler theyre a nightmare! On opening the package i found 5 'discs' each one is made of 2 spirals you simply have to push them apart. The scent is like a campfire with a hint of citrus. Ive placed it next to my open kitchen window just to test it and my once fly filled room is now fly free! Yes they have flown through the smoke and havent died but they soon turned around a flew bk out! Wasps included! Great item and i have recommended to friends and will be buying more :) Great for days in the garden!

oggetto semplicissimo ma che si rivela di grande efficacia non solo perchè evita lo spargimento della cenere ovunque ma anche e soprattutto perché avendo una griglia su cui la spirale poggia consente di usare anche pezzi di spirale spezzata. Questo fa sì che si possano appunto sia usare zampironi che magari si sono spezzati aprendoli o dividendoli, sia anche di lasciare a bruciare soltanto un pezzetto se si desidera una durata X senza dover poi andare a spegnerlo. Ne ho già acquistati due

Ho comprato questo kit più per la custodia che per gli zampironi: quindi custodia ben fatta, comoda e sicura, avendo un cane scemo che si bruciava per annusare lo zampirone, ora ringrazia.

Oltre agli zampironi che fanno il loro dovere la scatolina per contenerli mentre bruciano è super funzionale. Trattiene tutti i residui e fa uscire in maniera uniforme il fumo anche col vento. Consigliato (soprattutto per il portazampirone).

Prodotto di media fattura ma che compie benissimo il suo lavoro. Sono confezionate 2 alla volta intrecciate tra loro, fate attenzione perché sono delicate e c'è il rischio che si spacchinoi
