Chipotle Hot Sauce 150 ml (Pack of 6)

Honestly the best hot sauce out there for people who like flavour in their sauces over out and out heat

In my seemingly never-ending search for the ultimate hot sauce, it seems I've found my winner. It looks like Cholula have managed to strike the perfect balance between the smokiness of the chipotle pepper and the required heat - this sauce is hot enough to qualify as a hot sauce but still sane enough that you can apply liberal amounts to whatever you fancy having it on (macaroni cheese is an excellent option). Consistency-wise, it's thicker than Tabasco (also less fiery, drop for drop) but not as thick as Sriracha - and definitely not in the ketchup league. This means that adding to things like burgers requires a bit more thought than just dolloping it onto the inside of the bun. In fact, it's almost to the point where you're better off considering it as an ingredient rather than a condiment. However, ketchup, Cholula and mayonnaise in a 1:1:5 ratio makes an incredible dip. All in all, this is the king (or, in deference to the lady on the bottle, the queen) of hot sauces for me. It won't take the roof of your mouth off, it's deliciously smoky, and it goes with a frankly startling array of foods. Your experiences may differ, but so far everyone who I know who I've foisted it upon has made that wide-eyed "this is really good" Mmm face. Try it - but save some for me.

This is my favourite hot sauce. No it's not the hottest but it is just about the tastiest! It's cracking splashed over some lemon and garlic sautéed kale, in sauces and generally anything edible. So, yes, it's awesomesauce! But I have never had any from Amazon. The first order, a box of 6, arrived but when I opened up the outer box I could see immediately that sauce was leaking through the case of bottles (only saving us from a sauce monsoon by the outer bubblewrap). On touching the box I could tell immediately that some if not all of the contents were smashed. I threw it straight in the bin. Amazon live chat were very helpful and dispatched a replacement immediately. When the replacement arrived the delivery driver warned my husband that he thought the contents were damaged and on closer inspection they could see the sauce leaking through the main box as well as smell it. So we refused the parcel and returned it. I asked Live Chat for a refund as it was clear that the packaging is inadequate. It IS a good but if your parcel arrives intact but you might want to splash a bit of extra cash and buy it yourself. It's disappeared from a lot of supermarket shelves though so maybe worth the risk.

One very happy household as we have been unable to find this in local stores for a some time now. Good price and very well packaged - would recommend ordering from this seller.

Saw a recipe that needed this, couldn't find it in any supermarkets so bought here. 6 bottles will last a while, nice smoky flavour adds something nice to a mundane chilli

My favourite hot sauce ever made. You know what youre getting with cholula, this flavour is the best out there as well. its nice to be able to bulk buy it when you can't find it anywhere in shops

I absolutely adore this chipotle sauce (which I prefer to the original Cholula sauce); it's versatile and can be used in and on so many savoury dishes (and a few sweet dishes as well). My local shops and supermarkets stopped stocking it a while back,so I bought a pack of 6 bottles; this should do me for a couple of months. I love hot and spicy foods, yet this is far more smokey and chipotle-flavoured than hot, making it a perfect sauce even for those who aren't so keen on seriously spicy foods.

Kismet. She's a fickle mistress. Having sworn allegiance to Tabasco - Chipotle smoky BBQ pepper sauce 60ML I then discover the taste sensation that is Cholula Chipotle Hot Sauce. That's not to decry the virtues of the Tabasco. Oh no, for I, being a geek, conducted a taste test, and here dear readers are my results. The Tabasco is hotter than that Cholula, and while that's entirely down to personal preference, the slightly reduced heat of the Cholula allows you to apply it more liberally. No bad thing! I found the Tabasco to be a slightly sharper, almost vinegary taste whereas the Cholula (as fellow Amazonians have rightly noted) has a more mellow, almost woody taste to it. Again, personal preference applies. In short, they're different beasts. I'll carry on using both as they're both great in different ways, but I'll probably use the Tabasco as an ingredient (it's excellent in Chilli Con Carne), but use the Chipotle on its own as a sauce. It's tasty stuff!

Hard to find where I live, that is why I ordered 12 bottles. Vendor customer service very serviceable.
