Andy's Dinosaur Adventures: Series 1

This is a wonderful video if you have a child who loves dinosaurs. My 3 year old son enjoyed watching BBC's "Walking with Dinosaurs" and "Prehistoric Park" with Nigel Marven so I decided to initially buy him series 1 on iTunes because it used the same technology for the dinosaurs. He absolutely loved it! The length is great for kids, it introduces not just dinosaurs but also different objects that existed during the same time plus Andy is very likeable and his adventures are very enjoyable to watch. My son loves to sing along to the catchy theme tune and see Andy interacting with the dinosaurs. He learned so much from series 1 that when I saw all 3 series here on DVD, I knew that I had to get it for him. It is so wonderful to see the BBC provide such educational and informative programs for children - when my son sees a picture of any of the dinosaurs featured in this DVD, he had no problem naming even those with long and hard to pronounce names! The only problem is that he thinks that there is a magic clock in every museum and wants to look for it ;) I would highly recommend this series for any child who likes dinosaurs and I only wish that more series were available :)

I purchased this Andys Dinosaur Adventures for my nephew who loves dinosaurs! My son and I watched this when it was on tv and he really enjoyed it. I love that although the main attraction to the show for children is seeing Andy in what looks to be situations where he is right next to all sorts of various animals, it is really educational. It is loaded with facts about different dinosaurs, when they lived, what they ate, how they cared for their young, how they hunted etc. The special effects are not perfect, but its a children's program, and pretty good detail for that! This DVD was great value. In these Andy turns back time using a clock in the Natural History museum, where he goes from dealing with artefacts to applying it in real life by travelling back through time. Much of the time it is that he is clumsy and has broken something and needs a replacement before the museum opens. Excellent program & great for dinosaur lovers!

I absolutely love this show. It’s educational as well for us all to learn about different prehistoric animals that we didn’t/ don’t even know.

Nice series voor kids

I bought these for my grandson who is not even 2 years old yet and he loves dinosaurs and he really loves it and every time he watches it you would think he has never seen it before and he goes and he gets the DVD out when he wants to watch it and gives it to me and then sits in his chair to watch it. I have sat and watched it with him and I found that it is very entertaining and has a lot of information about dinosaurs in it as well it is educational as well. would highly recommend it to anyone who has a child who is dinosaur daft

I bought this for my Grandson, age 4, and he loves it - this is now the only DVD he wants to watch and he is 'glued' to it. It is highly educational -he knows the names of all the dinosaurs and the time periods in which they lived (often correcting me). He loves it when i hide his toy dinasaurs around the house with paper 'dinasaur' footprints to follow and assorted items from the DVD (like feathers and litchen) to find. There are many episodes and it is definitely good value for money. His parents and other grandparents have also purchased one for each of their houses. I would say that he found a couple of episodes a bit scary, the first time he saw them, so I think the first veiwing should be with a parent.

I can watch this over and over. Must be one of the few DVDs that he has that I am happy that he wants to watch. BBC have made the best ever kids TV show that is exciting (has mild peril in every episode) has dinosaurs in yet teaches something new every time. Also makes kids even more keen to go to the Natural History Museum. Love it and can't wait for Andy's Prehistoric Adventures to come out on DVD. Will pre-order that!

Onze kleinzoon is er verzot op. Jammer dat het alleen in het Engels is, zonder buitenlandse ondertitels. Hoe kortzichtig van de BBC. Europa telt niet mee.

DVD top, like I expected. Just the shipping took two weeks. Maybe it got stuck at the customs office? Otherwise everything fine

Très bon programme, les effets sont très bien faits on plonge dans le monde des Dinosaures il n'y a que de l'anglais. une bonne raison de se mettre à cette langue si l'enfant est fan des dinosaures
