well written, easy to understand and follow if you want to self treat with acupressure and magnets ( I personally wouldn't try needles myself but I guess you could)…………..and my self treatment with magnets does appear to be having a positive effect

Easy reference
I find this really helpful. It is laid out in such a way that you can find what you want very quickly. It is informative and well illustrated. I'm really pleased I bought it, and it is in constant use. Probably my most accessible of my many acupuncture reference books. Ideal for a girl in a hurry like me.

well illustrated and guided Handbook
Overall valuable book with clear illustrations and well guided. Also it is good to understand authors opinion and experiences. For me is missing Chinese names of acupuncture points and this make hard my communication with my practitioner.

This book is brilliant.
I hummed and haaad about getting this book for ages. I'm glad I went for it in the end, it's absolutely marvellous. The diagrams are easy, the instructions are easy. It's digestible, it's organised, it's consistent and cohesive. It can stand alone but it works brilliantly with other modalities. I'm using it to augment some training that I'm doing and I'm finding everything much easier with the assistance of this very well laid out book. It's a dream.

I purchased this book because I want to learn about meridian and holistic ways to heal and treat the body. The book is well organized and shows the main acupuncture/acupressure points that can be stimulated along the meridians and the effects they have. It is well illustrated with precise and reliable drawings that are easy to follow and go back to for reference. It is a solid introduction to acupuncture points that can also be applied to acupressure, body tapping etc.

This book has many good illustrations and drawings showing the locations of the acupoints. However each point is referred by their conventional reference nos rather than by names. We address each point here by their names, hence need to use another acupunture book for cross reference. More values could be enhanced into this book by: 1. Showing the big picture of meridians of the body in a chart. 2. Good to have the names of the acupoints next to their reference no. eg: LI4 Hegu. Or a reference list of acupoints and their names at end of book. 3. An anatomy chart since vertebrae, and bones are mentioned. I will not recommend my friend to buy this book.

It was difficult to pick out a book on Amazon to learn about acupressure and the various points as a newbie. This book was a home run! There is a nice introduction that works well at explaining things in simple terms, including how to do it and other relevant things. The bulk of the book is about the various points, where they are with good diagrams and telling what they affect. For a moment I was worried that there was no listing of various health concerns that showed what points to utilize for them, but then I took a look at the index and it is all there. This book has it all and it will be a long while before I need a book that goes into more depth. I can do a lot with the information in this book alone. If you are new to this and want a great book that is comprehendable and comprehensive, this is the one you want. Nice job Ms. Bleecker!
