Amazing stuff
This really does the job. Used when our old porcelain toilet cistern developed a crack and started weeping from it. As an emergency measure I drained it dry, plastered some of this MarineWeld inside along the crack and a good margin either side, left it dry for the recommended 15 hours and refilled. That was a full 5 years ago with not a trace of water escaping. Then a fine crack appeared in another part of the cistern, and I did the same thing again and used up the other half of the original tubes which had sat in the garage and were still perfectly usable. Again, perfect result, no more weeping cistern. If I replace the cistern I'll have to completely replace all the fittings in that room as they're all matching and well over 30 years old and still otherwise performing absolutely fine. Massive save, thanks JBWeld, brilliant product! I bought it again because I always want some handy in case of future need :o) Originally recommended by a friend who clearly knows his materials!

Seems doing the job at 1st
Seems doing the job at 1st glance. Easy to use, mix, comes out as grey colour, can be worked with moist hands to the shape you want, smooths easily again with moist assistance, handy tubes at package, I hope water resistance will last for long. Attention, when dries can break easily if knocked hard, it is the same with all hard materials-what cannot bend breaks. Bit expensive in price. Useful for the purpose. Would buy again.

easy application and extremely strong adhesion
Needed to repair a cracked granite sink which had completely split in 2 in the middle. After doing some research I settled on buying this JB Weld marine epoxy. Super easy to mix and apply, it is a dark grey/graphite colour when mixed at the recommended ratio. As this is not a fast setting epoxy, after application, I just joined the 2 pieces together and left it alone on the floor. I tested it about 12hrs later and it was set however I left it for a full day before handling it. Given the weight of the granite sink this has extremely strong adhesion - the drainer section which had cracked off was able to suspend mid air with no issues when I placed the sink up right on the floor. I installed the sink a couple of weeks later so it got some additional cure time though not required. Very happy as I was able to fix the sink for less than £6 rather than buying a new one! I would recommend taping and wiping off any smears/excess asap which I sadly didn't do. It's hard remove once it is set and I was unable to remove the smears I made as shown in the photos.

Not for me
Wasn't what I was expecting, more of a paste than a epoxy , like chewing gum, hard to work with.

Great to use for suitcase wheel repair
We ordered J B Weld after watching a YouTube video for repairing a suitcase wheel, using 2 part epoxy. The wheel on our suitcase had got stuck, wearing one side of the wheel flat! There’s nothing wrong with the suitcase but the wheels were fixed with rivets, making them difficult to replace! So, to find an alternative we searched YouTube and found a guy who repaired a suitcase wheel doing this. This product is working great, just mix it up and spread on the flat section and build it up, bit by bit. It dries overnight, ready for the next layer. It’s quite a solid mixture, so stays put and doesn’t smell awful (just a bit) it can be sanded to shape when cured. This wheel isn’t finished yet, but we’re confident that it’s going to do the job & voila! Why buy a new suitcase or fight with rivets, this does the job to prolong the life of a perfectly good suitcase.

I like this weld. I used it to shore up a developing crack on a crockpot. Extends the life of the crockpot, which would be hard to replace. The cured material is just as hard as the ceramic. The patch I put in place did partially break off after many years, however most of it is still in place.

i use this stuff in crafting and i gotta say it works great. super easy to use, just mix parts A & B. it dries to a very dark glossy grey. its smooth and is very durable. i find that it holds the joint very well. these are small tubes but go a long way, plus the price is right so its all a win win
