Amazon Basics Wireless Remote Control for Nikon
Amazon Basics Wireless Remote Control for Nikon D5500: Budget-Friendly Shutter Release Having recently purchased the Amazon Basics Wireless Remote Control for my Nikon D5500, I'm happy to share my experience. As someone who values practicality and affordability, this remote control has become a valuable addition to my photography kit. Pros: Affordability: Let's face it, the original Nikon remote can be quite expensive. This Amazon Basics option offers significant cost savings, making it a budget-conscious choice for hobbyists or occasional photographers. Compatibility: As advertised, the remote worked seamlessly with my Nikon D5500 and I haven't encountered any compatibility issues. Functionality: The remote offers basic shutter release functionality, perfect for capturing self-portraits, group photos, or wildlife shots where minimizing camera shake is crucial. Simplicity: The design is straightforward, with a single button for shutter release. This no-frills approach makes it easy to use and avoids confusion, especially for beginners. Overall: For Nikon D5500 users seeking a budget-friendly and functional wireless shutter release, the Amazon Basics remote is a solid option. It delivers the core functionality at a fraction of the cost, making it a great value for casual photographers or those starting their photography journey. If you require advanced features or a more premium build quality, you might want to consider other options.

Works well with a D7000 - no setup, good range, can take multiple exposures.
This just works really well. I've had other third party and copies of the Nikon ML-L3 before. They worked but never seamlessly. Now, in the main, they worked OK at the beginning and then failed when I came back to them some time later. It's possible this Amazon one will go the same way (one wonders how much difference there is internally on these various remotes). If that happens, I'll update this review. No, really, unlike many, I do frequently update reviews. Even with that caveat, I like the feel of this thing better straight away. It's simple but well made with a good, easy to use button. I've tried from in front and behind the camera and from about 25 feet or so away. All good. It also takes multiple exposures by holding down the button.

Handy, cheap and a useful thing to have... if you have a Canon DSLR!
It's a little remote control for Canon DSLRs, once you've set your camera into the right mode for remote shutter activation, you just point this at it and press the grey button. Your camera autofocuses (unless you have it on manual) then 2 seconds later your camera it takes the photo. Simple. However... you will need a Canon DSLR with an IR sensor in the handgrip for this device to work. Check before you buy this! I'm not sure all Canon DSLRs do. There are a couple of caveats though. Firstly, there is only 2 seconds between button press and photo taken. This appears to be fixed. Although on the Canon official one you can apparently get up to 10 (and certainly if you just press the shutter button manually on the camera). Also the official one has switch on the back to allow instant photo taking. This one always has the two seconds. However, you can activate video recording and turn it off remotely with this remote, handy if you need to appear in the video! Just as a note: I had a fault develop in my Amazon Basic's remote after a couple of weeks, though Amazon replaced it swiftly after I let them know and the replacement has been fine. If you need a wireless remote cheaply, and have the right camera (and want to activate photos from in front of it - like for a group shot) then this will do the job fine! Also useful for if you want to take a photo and avoid wobble when you press the button, like for telephoto shots of the moon, for example.

Perfect!
Works perfectly with my Nikon D3200, I have also used it with a D3100 and D40. Some have said that you need to keep returning to the camera to switch the shooting mode back to remote after using it - this is NOT TRUE. If the camera is properly set to remote or delayed remote, it will stay in that mode allowing you to take multiple shots. This is true for all auto modes and fully manual - I think people are perhaps getting confused as it is true you need to keep switching back to timed mode if you are using that. This is unrelated. The camera will also reassess its focus if you are in AF mode when you use the remote, which is handy. Overall this is an absolute bargain and works beautifully.

Works, but with interruptions
I am not sure about this one. the idea is great, but it only works when in front of the camera, short distance, and with interuptions, a lot of time does not actuate. Probably better go with something more professional.

Does a better job than the brand version at a lower price
Its very rare to find third party products that surpass the original brand specs and at a vastly lower price but amazon managed to do this with little to no effort. This remote has a more robust design and better finish than it nikon counterpart with a more reliable warranty period. That fact its signal can travel up to 5 meters is a huge benefit when moving around in a large studio or out doors. There is a slight delay from trigger to shot, but this is expected with wireless transmissions and can be fixed with enough practice. I must address that that depending on the model of dslr you're using, the means of pairing the remote will vary however this is usually something that is performed in the camera settings or options. I run a Nikon D5500, so i have to follow this method but since the instructions are simple to use it'll be easy for any new buyer to get up and running with their gear. With that said I still highly recommended purchasing this item for the level of freedom you get.

Dont waste your money on this.
Complete rubbish, worked twice from new. Put new battery in and it is dead as a dodo. I have to goive it one star just to submit this review.

I was a little skeptical at first ordering this because it wasn't a name brand device. However, in the long run it was worth the purchase. I had a small learning curve in order to use it. I was use to using a connected off camera device, wherein you don't have to change anything on the camera. You just plug it in and shoot. So, I did the same with this. It did not work. After checking the batteries and everything else I could, I finally stopped into a camera shop, and in 5 seconds he switched the camera to remote shutter mode, and it was working. (My small feeble brain was to blame...) After that the thing works great. I can be quite a ways from the camera and still trigger the shutter. Whether I am shooting in macro mode and just want to make sure I don't add any vibration to the camera, or I am shooting a picture with me in it I am happy with this. It is lightweight (about an ounce) which is nice when you are hiking and want to add as little weight as possible. It seems to be durable as I dropped it twice now and has had no issues. I am not sure how long the battery will last, but I will try to update that if possible. If it is a few years I may forget to do so, so if you read this in 2023 and see no update that most likely means the battery lasted a while. (Or I stepped in front of a bus trying to get that perfect picture!) Anyway, if you are deciding between a high priced name brand and this Amazon Basics device, go the less costly route with this one. You'll be happy.

Easy to use, came with a battery, I love the little pouch it comes in. Works with my Nikon D40. I’m glad that it came with instructions because I didn’t know what shooting mode to have my camera on. (Shooting Mode setting, and then Delayed remote setting for anyone else who tries things out before reading the instructions.) Would definitely recommend

CARATTERISTICHE: 👉 Tutto esattamente come descritto nell’inserzione.
