Fast, funny and unapologetically inappropriate - the perfect party version of a modern classic
The Exploding Kittens: NSFW Edition takes everything that makes the original game so much fun - the quick gameplay, the chaotic energy, and those brilliantly weird illustrations by The Oatmeal - and turns it up a notch for adults. It’s easy to learn, quick to play, and compact enough to take anywhere, making it a great choice for parties or evenings with friends. The humour is definitely on the adult side, with plenty of cheeky, irreverent cards that push the boundaries. It’s not one to bring out with the kids - unless you want to face some very awkward questions about certain illustrations! If you’re after something family-friendly, the standard edition plays the same way but tones down the content. Over time, we’ve added a few of the expansions to keep things fresh, but the base game on its own is still one of the easiest, funniest and most replayable card games out there. Compact, clever and consistently hilarious - a guaranteed hit for adult game nights.

Puurfect!
If you are a fan of cards against humanity then you must check out Exploding Kittens! You and a small bunch of friends must have courage and pick up a card on each turn in hopes that you don't get an exploding kitten, otherwise it's BOOM and your out if the game! It takes a little while to get the gist but very quickly you will find yourself on the edge of your seat as the tension rises as the pile of cards falls. It can be a very short run especially with the more people that play. Amongst the cards are various action cards to save your fur; all are illustrated with some rather crazy and funny scenes and situations. Please note that the NSFW edition contains content not suitable for children. If you are over the age limit then this is the must have version for extra fun! Perfect for a game down the local it a fun night in.

Great Game (If used to these sorts of games)
Overall a great game! Fun and easy (once understood how to play). However, personally (obviously won’t apply to everyone), found the game hard to understand/get the jist of. That’s more of a personal issue though! Many might have a better grasp than myself, hence the 4/5 opposed to 5/5 from me. Great value for money, great play (once I got the idea lol), compact and not many pieces. I’d say suitable to take travelling for entertainment!

Brilliant time-killer
This game is absolutely hilarious! When in need of a great time-killer with a few friends this is always my first choice. This simple card game allows for some great games, while it says on the box that a game will last roughly 15 mins, we have had games that have gone on for as long as 30. The illustrations on the card are relevant and funny, but not at all serious. The cards themselves are well made, and the box they come in s good too. With the fact that you can combine this deck with any other version for a game of up to 9 people, you can enjoy this game with many more people.

A great adult edition to an entertaining game
I wrote a similar review for the normal edition of exploding kittens as I purchased both together. I highly recommend this game! Seems very esque of cards against humanity. The art is great (especially on the NSFW edition) and is quite funny however i can understand why people don't engage in it after a while. However the game itself is all about luck and screwing over the other players. i've only played 2 player games so far and it you play them very quickly and it does make you want to carry on playing! Most of the games seem to go right down to the last two cards keeping the tension high (which is what makes this game so great). Highly recommended! A note that must be emphasised is that when NSFW is said in the title that it means it! The content on these cards are definitely not suitable for kids.

Good game, poor art
Exploding kittens is a great game, fast paced and easy to learn. This is not your average boring card game and the time taken to play can vary depending on how many play and how they play, from just 10 minutes to half an hour. A big group of players using more than one pack can get very loud and everyone seems to enjoy it. However, the card art for the NSFW deck is too immature for my taste or for those I have played with. My friends and I play a lot of games and enjoy the art almost as much as the game. The art for the normal deck of exploding kittens is crude but provides character; it's fun. The art for the NSFW deck seems overdone. It's crude for the sake of being crude and little thought seems to have been put into it. Many games I have played have been termed 'NSFW' but retained a tasteful humor, unlike this game. That said, I love this game. The concept, the play, the group dynamic it creates are all very appealing, making this a great game to play with friends.

Great game!
I loooove this game, and you can always expand the world with other set of cards! I also think it’s great value for money and had a fantastic time with friends playing this.

In short, this game is A LOT of fun to play! Like the box says, this has artwork and phrases that are NSWF, so be weary when buying this if you plan on playing it with the younger crowd. That being said, the artwork is hilarious with this game, you have everything from Boob Wizards to... well nothing I should say publicly on here! The game works like this; Everybody starts out with 4 cards from the deck and one defuse card. You then make sure that there is one less exploding kitten card as there are players. Unlike most cards games, you draw from the deck to declare it is the end of your turn, if you pull an exploding kitten you either a) Are out of the game, or b) pla a defuse card and place the exploding kitten ANYWHERE back in the deck. This is great because it adds a suspicion factor, if it right back on top? Is it 7 down instead to get someone unexpectedly in a later turn? It's hilarious watching people panic and see what other types of cards they have to avoid drawing. On top of this, there are many other types of cards like mentioned such as skip, shuffle, etc. In addition there are just cards with no specific abilities but just have cats on them such as "Zombie Cat" and "Cat's Schrodinger". We did modify one of the rules in the game however because it made it more fun for us. One rule states that you can use 5 of any type of card and draw from the discard pile. While this is convenient, it is too simple to get 5 of any card, so we kept the rule but instead you have to use 5 different of the average cat cards instead. Also, this does say the game can play with two players, although my girlfriend and I after playing it 5-6 times just the two of us, found it to become rather dry, so I recommend having at least one other person. Overall, this game is fun, simple to learn, with a twist of crude humor that makes for a great light game to play at night!

My group of friends love this game. Instant classic that didn’t take too long to learn. We’re usually a fairly big family so everyone gets involved. Highly recommend.

My friends and I play a lot of board games. I feel this game is best sandwiched between games as a humorous pick-me-up. Sometimes depth and strategy are great, but over time, it can mushify your brain. During times of such turmoil, we bust out Exploding Kittens because it's simple, quick, and enjoyable. We can have a game going in under 2 minutes if we're not slothily motivated. •• Number of Players •• This is fairly important. If you play this as a 2-3 person game, it won't hold your attention long. That said, this game is a ton of fun among friends. I recommend 4-5 players in order to have the full "screw people over" factor take effect. People often compare it to Cards of Humanity. It's not alike at all. It's like if a simplified version of Munchkins and Uno had a sexy lovechild -- only that lovechild is a cat that loves to blow people up. You can literally learn its base rules within 5-10 minutes max. Everyone up to speed? Good, now let's murderously mess with each other. •• Address Criticism •• I've read a few reviews that say, "Played it for a couple hours. Gets boring quick." To you, I say... Well, duh. Exploding Kittens is not incredibly complex. You can't expect to play it day after day, week after week, and have continuous fun. It's the same with Cards Against Humanity. Once you've seen all of the shocking text, there's a surprise factor that's gone forever. An exploding kitten, on the other hand, can always surprise you. •• The Expansion •• I highly recommend the expansion: Imploding Kittens . It adds a wee bit more depth to the game and ups the max players to 6. If you're definitively interested in purchasing the base game, you can't go wrong adding Imploding Kittens right away. It just makes a fun game more fun. The imploding kitten is a nastier version of the exploding kittens because it can't be defused. I like how it changes the flow by eliminating one poor sap immediately upon drawing. Excellent... now only 4-5 remain for the conquering. •• A word on the NSFW tag •• The card art is pretty raunchy. I actually expected it to be a tad more tame, but this is definitely not for children unless you want them to see grandma boobs drawn on various creatures. I have legitimately laughed out loud at some of the cards, but it's not a lasting thing. You'll laugh once or twice and then move on. If you at any point want to include children in the playing, buy the base edition, not the NSFW edition. If, however, you'll only play with your incredibly immature friends, have at it. Trust me... it's a blast! •• Conclusion •• I bought Exploding Kittens to sandwich between more strategically intense board games. It's easy to learn and simple to play. Games often don't last longer than 10-15 minutes unless Stu keeps getting up for mountain dew. Seriously, just buy a hydration backpack, Stu. Kitten Jayzus. gg, happy playing, and don't forget to 'asplode people without mercy.
