Bulk Vitamin C Powder, 100 g, Packaging May Vary

Oh my this is a lot of product for not much cost, the quality is great and this will be used in my new beauty regime of homemade ethical heathy products. The product is 5 star so thank you.

I purchased this powder with the intentions of making a DIY Vitamin C spray for my skin. I'd been researching Vitamin C serums but saw a lot of people mention that they start to oxidize as soon as they're opened (which is easy to spot because they turn a coppery-orange colour) and once the serum has oxidized, it's no good to your skin. I looked into how to make my own and it looked so simple I thought I'd give it a try. The Vitamin C powder is a fraction of the cost of regular serums and I make a new batch every week to keep it fresh/avoid oxidization. After just two months I'm noticing a difference- my skin is smoother and appears less red. Not to mention that I've used so little of the powder, they bag still seems full! This has worked a treat and if you're looking into making your own Vitamin C spray, I'd definitely recommend.

I took one star off only because this vitamin C powder is more like vitamin C crystals, which is fine if you want to whisk it away into a drink, however using it for topical application is rough. Knowing that vitamin c does not stay stable in cosmetic applications, and doing much research, books, articles, etc. I decided to try using the best cosmetic vitamin c (ascorbic acid), to mix into my own formula for daily use. I didnt want to pay the high price of buying one specially formatted for skin, (I'm but a poor uni student), so gave this a go as it was on offer. Being tired for the evening, I haphazardly mixed it into my nightly face lotion (felt a mild sting, it works), but woke up with some dermatitis around my mouth and a red face. These symptoms indicate a "overdose of vitamin C". I reckon the size of the large crystals also disturbed my face. I have sensitive skin. So my recommendation, if you're a sensitive skinned person wanting to use this, put the cystals in a food processing machine or something of the sort and grind into a fine powder. Then just use a TINY amount then into your face oil or lotion. Overall, good buy and recommend.

I regularly use Vitamin C powder to remove unwanted demi permanent hair dye from my hair. So not for health reasons. This does the job well for that purpose. Plenty of instructions online how to use Vit c for this. It does have an orange fragrance to it, so probably has the same taste but obviously I use this for mixing with shampoo so have NEVER tasted it. Would buy again and recommend of what I use it for.

Needed this for use in a breadmaker - and this does the job at a very reasonable price.

Don't really know how to rate it as I've only just started using it. Hope it works LOL. How do you test something like this. Going by faith really
