Deceptive marketing but still love the fan.
Edit: I like this fan way to much to leave the one star review in place. I still stand by my original reasoning but can't help liking and even emphatically recommending this fan based on how well it works and the overall look and feel of the build quality. At the second of 10 speeds the sound from the fan itself is hard to discern although there is a very noticeable woosh from the air itself flowing through the opening of the tube on my desk. Even at this low speed it seems to provide enough ventilation for me. Original review (1 star): Ignore the noise ratings and probably any claims really. It's a fan. It sounds like a fan and moves air like a fan. The whisper soft 29dba or w/e it is supposedly rated for is more like 70+ in reality. Based on how grossly that was misrepresented I can only imagine the airflow and power ratings are likewise no where near reality. That all being said, I really like the fan I received. It's not what was advertised but I pretty much expected that going in so... The noise is pretty loud at mid to high settings but is mostly a loud but soft woosh sound and with the hose attached I doubt it would bother most people. I plan to use it for venting solder fumes and it will likely be plenty powerful at it's lowest settings which is actually almost silent to it's credit, although customer service on their website flatly stated the unit was tested for sound at max speed with hoses off. Can't give it 5 stars because the fan does not live up to the promises in the listing, but it's a pretty good fan none the less, just know what you are getting into. If you need to rely on the specific performance data for any reason I would suggest buying something legit, otherwise if you just need a fan this one's pretty decent.

Excellent blower
I purchased this blower for use with an 8” independent insulated duct system that I installed in my attic to redistribute excess heat from the room my new wood burning stove is located in, to the rest of the house. The blower is very quiet even at full speed can move large a large volume of air. The variable speed control is nice although I do believe it would have been nice that the corded speed control’s form factor matched a US a rectangular switch plate/electrical outlet face plate dimension with and/or a faceplate mounting kit for a clean, permanent installation as the faceplate of the control is just a bit too big. Very happy with the unit so far

My favorite option for a grow on a budget
Truthfully, if you're on a budget and still want that superior product, this is simply the best option. You don't need a fancy controller to start. You can start with this fan with its simple click controller and eventually work your way up, which is exactly what I did. I started by ordering this and the AC Infinity 6" Carbon Filter. Which is all you really need to run a good flower. However once you get your feet wet in your new environment and you want to start paying attention to things like VPD and regulate the climate, you can then upgrade to a more advanced AC Infinity controller! I upgraded to the Controller 67 and I'm eventually looking to upgrade to the 69 Pro. The fan comes with everything in the box that you need to connect it to the UIS AC infinity controllers. Now onto how I feel about this fan? I feel it's an absolute lifesaver. Speaking AFTER my previously mentioned upgrades, I am properly able to regulate & control the climate inside of my tent and achieve a proper VPD for flowering and my plants seem to love it! I use the 6" in a 4x4 and it works well, the only time I struggle is during lights off when the plants transpire water. I do think because of this, I would probably eventually upgrade this unit to the 8", However I would still stay with the Lite line. I really appreciate the flexibility in different ways you are able to use these fans with so many different controller options. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a GOOD quality budget inline fan for their grow set up.

Obnoxious LEDs on speed control - Fan seems good quality.
Initial thoughts, I give this 5 stars, but, the speed controller has these 10 small obnoxiously bright LED lights, so I'm whacking one star. They're the white/blue type. Wow, they're like miniature lasers piercing your eyes. They should have gone with red, not the white/blue. The fan is made of plastic, but it's durable. Blades are sturdy. No flimsy materials used. The fan is pretty quiet. Speeds 6+ are pretty noisy, but then again, when you're shoving 730 cubic feet of air into an 8" tube, it's going to make some noise. I find that acceptable. Lots of air flow, which is what we wanted. Once we start using this more, I may be back to update if needed.

Moves air quietly!
Purchased to push more air from a central furnace to a room that is far away (and only had a single vent in the room). Works as expected! The room is sufficiently cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The installation package comes with every possible option needed to install the inline duct fan. The unit disassembles so that the support housing can be installed without the motor/blower. Once installed, the motor / fan drop simply drop in and are secured with screws. Easy. The unit comes with a a 10 speed controller which is a must. I found that setting 2 is sufficient to push air to a far away room. At a speed of 3 there is a slight noticeable sound at the far end vent. Keeping in mind the house has a 1960's HVAC system that is essentially a series of is a long metal tubes, so without dampening additional noise probably to be expected. Even at level 10, it's not deafening. Setting 2 (out of 10) moves enough air to compensate what I had before. The unit is very quiet and does the job.

Quiet ventilation for 3D printer
This inline fan is sturdy and very quiet! I am using it to ventilate a 3d printing space and it mounted easily to the bottom of a table and moves a very high volume of air, keeping the room free of particulates. The included remote allows you to set the fan speed with a lot of granularity. Maybe the only drawback is that the fan remote requires a cable connection and that cable is short.

An essential upgrade for your CO2 laser exhaust system—this ventilation fan is a must-have!
I use the Monport 80W CO2 Laser, and the stock exhaust fan just wasn’t cutting it—I needed an upgrade. After some searching, I ordered the AC Infinity CLOUDLINE A6, and the difference is incredible! This fan efficiently pulls out smoke, keeping my work area clear and breathable. The speed control is a nice feature, but I keep it on the highest setting to ensure maximum smoke removal while my laser is running. As for noise, it’s surprisingly quiet, even at full power—you can hear it working, but it’s not distracting or overly loud. If you’re running a CO2 laser and need a reliable exhaust fan, I highly recommend this one. It’s a must-have upgrade that significantly improves airflow and keeps your workspace smoke-free!
